Dear Friend,

My mom was my best friend. And when I learned heart disease could take her from
me I was devastated… for me, and for our entire family.

But thanks to the American Heart Association and the amazing research they have
funded, we got an extra 20 years with my mom that we would not have otherwise
had. Those years allowed mom so many precious moments — like being able to bake
blueberry muffins with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. And to
attend nine of their college graduations and marriages.

So I can't think of a better way to honor my mom — and your mom too! — this
Mother's Day than by giving back, just as my mom Rachel Besser would have done.

For the entire month of May, my husband Lee and I are personally MATCHING EVERY
GIFT to the American Heart Association, up to $500,000 in honor of mothers
everywhere. So please, make your gift now when it will go twice as far to help
save more lives from heart disease and stroke.

 



 



 

Cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of women. So often moms put
their own health and wellbeing last. So while moms everywhere tend to the hearts
of their loved ones, the American Heart Association is here to take care of the
hearts of those moms.

 



 

Lifesaving research and medical breakthroughs that lead to new treatments and
cures.

Raising awareness about high blood pressure and hypertension.

Initiatives to help ensure women are equally represented in medical research
studies.

Advocating for better, more equitable health care
for all.

Improving the quality of care at your local hospital.

 



 

With all they do for us, moms deserve more than just one day of celebration each
year. So together with the American Heart Association and their unparalleled
commitment to moms' heart health, we're making May a whole month for moms.

You can help create more moments that matter for all the moms in your life when
