How It Works



Step #1

Sign.

One of our claims specialists will call you about money owed to you by the
Government.

IF you give us consent to work your claim, we will then arrange a time for you
to meet with a local notary to sign the required paperwork for submitting your
claim.





Step #2

Wait. 

Once the forms are signed, the local notary will send Monument Asset Recovery
the signed forms we requested.

IF all the documents are correct, we will file your claim with the Government
immediately! The Government takes weeks, sometimes months to process the
documents. Be patient.





Step #3

Get Paid.

IF the Government approves the claim, Monument Asset Recovery will take an
additional 21 days to ensure that no errors were made with your claim by the
Government.

We will then overnight your check straight to your address.

WHAT WILL THIS COST ME?

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. You don’t pay a penny. We will cover all the upfront costs –
notaries, couriers, filing fees, you name it. We only get paid when your funds
are successfully recovered to you. We will take a percentage of the unclaimed
funds, based on the terms agreed to in the Contingency Agreement.

We can guarantee:

[1] You will pay nothing out-of-pocket.

[2] We will pay off all up-front costs related to the claim.

DO I HAVE TO SIGN YOUR DOCUMENTS?

Yes. In order for us to help you recover your money, claimants must sign a
Contingency Fee Agreement, a Limited Power of Attorney, and the Government
agency’s claim forms. This is the only way Monument Asset Recovery can legally
represent you to file your claim with the agency holding your funds. All
document signings will be done in the presence of a licensed notary. 

Our Contingency Fee Agreement is a simple document stating how we will split the
funds, if successfully recovered. 

The Limited Power of Attorney allows us to file the claim on your behalf with
the Government agency holding the funds. The document is limited to the specific
unclaimed funds only and does not impact any other aspect of your life. We will
not have access to your personal financial information, or the ability to make
decisions on your behalf relating to anything other than the claim with the
Government agency.

Most claims take  a couple weeks for the Government agency holding your funds to
process, but some can take as little as a few days.

Once the claim has been approved by the agency, we will hold your check for 21
days to ensure no errors were made on your claim by the Government. Then we will
overnight your check directly to you.

IS THIS LEGAL?

Yes, this is 100% legal! If you are the true owner of unclaimed funds, you are
legally entitled to claim the money before it is lost to the Government.

It is also 100% legal for Monument Asset Recovery to act on your behalf and
claim the funds for you with your written consent through a Limited Power of
Attorney.
