Hello Kathy, I am reaching out to introduce myself as your GMO contact. GMO is a Boston-based investment manager co-founded by Jeremy Grantham and known for our thoughtful, candid research and valuation driven, high conviction investing. For 45 years, GMO has primarily served traditional institutions such as endowments, foundations, family offices, and large pension funds. We are thrilled to let you know, GMO is now available on the UBS platforms via one of our more unique and timely investment strategies, the GMO Opportunistic Income Fund GMOLX (GMODX oldest share class). An Inefficient Market With a Wide Set of Opportunities The GMO Opportunistic Income Fund seeks capital appreciation and current income by investing in what we believe are the most attractively priced sectors and securities in the structured finance marketplace. We believe that the marketplace’s complexity, periods of challenging past performance, and very high number of discrete investment opportunities create considerable potential for alpha generation. GMO approaches the market without what we feel are uneconomic constraints or mandates, such as asset class, credit rating, duration, or yield targets. The result is a fairly unconstrained, absolute return, multisector securitized approach, striking the right balance of risk-adjusted returns and managing downside volatility. Why GMO and Why Now? A balanced approach, focusing on strong risk-adjusted returns History of downside protection during past periods of volatility Diversification to other credit and risk products with relatively low correlation to the market Unconventional yield with exposure that is independent to market beta Often used as a replacement for traditional fixed income with potential to outperform in various interest and credit rate environments, a more liquid exposure to structured credit, or as a part of a broader liquid alternatives allocation Let me know if you might be interested in a brief introduction call to learn more about GMO or the GMO Opportunistic Income Fund. I look forward to working with you and sharing our investment research and insights.
