Event Details FAQ

This biopic is about the pioneering rap group N.W.A., whose voice ignited a
social revolution.

About the Event

In 1987, five young men, using brutally honest rhymes and hardcore beats, put
their frustration and anger about life in one of the most dangerous places in
America into the most powerful weapon they had: their music. Taking us back to
where it all began, “Straight Outta Compton” tells the story of how these
cultural rebels stood up to the authorities and exposed the truth about life in
the hood. The social revolution they inspired is still reverberating
today. Rated R for language throughout, strong sexuality/nudity, violence, and
drug use.

How to Join

To register for the event, follow the steps on the movie page. Please note that
you must be signed in to your AARP.org account or create an account to register
for events. AARP membership is not required. You will receive a reminder on the
day of the event or you can return to the event page where you registered to
watch.
