Throughout my studies at IMU, the University environment had nurtured me to
become a great leader. Sports and societies in IMU play an important role in
shaping and training my leadership skills through the University’s own core
values, TRUST. Trustworthiness, Responsiveness, Unity, Service and Tenacity.

This experiential learning at various hospitals provided a chance to do
case-based learning to help with the development of critical thinking and
clinical decision-making skills. I also utilised these clinical attachments to
connect with healthcare professionals and patients.

Master in Pharmacy Practice Alumna
IMU’s School of Dentistry emphasises a lot on experiential learning. We were
provided countless opportunities to learn from outside the classroom. Some of
them included visits to private and public dental clinics to gain exposure on
the operational side of things. Through this, I shadowed many of the dentists
and clinic assistants, especially in private set-ups, preparing myself for the
workforce and learning about their tips and tricks on running a dental clinic.
