Cyber criminals are constantly developing new methods to infiltrate networks, steal data or disrupt systems. The CSB course enables you to understand these threats, carry out forensic analyses and preserve evidence, and develop effective protective measures. * Economic expertise: when implementing cyber security measures, companies must carefully weigh up the costs and benefits. The CSB degree programme teaches you the economic methods you need to make effective decisions. * Legal expertise: many industries and organisations must meet certain security and data protection standards in order to comply with legal requirements. With the CSB degree programme, you will be able to understand these standards and implement them in a legally compliant manner. * Career opportunities: the demand for qualified cyber security experts is high, as companies and governments need to protect their digital data. The CSB degree programme offers you the basis for a career in this fast-growing field. The language of instruction is English. Many study modules have an international focus. The curriculum includes a mobility semester during which you can go abroad. * Practical orientation: all teaching staff have wide-ranging practical experience. The advisory committee for the degree programme, consisting of representatives from companies and research institutions, also provides up-to-date input. Additionally, the curriculum includes a specialised internship in the 5th semester, which you complete in a company or institution. * HTW Berlin’s good reputation: in 2023, HTW Berlin enjoyed top rankings in Germany in the subject areas “Computer Science” and “Business Administration” in the university ranking of WirtschaftsWoche, Germany’s leading business magazine. * No tuition fees: as a state university, HTW Berlin does not charge tuition fees.
