SODIUM POLYACRYLATE

Sodium polyacrylate is a new function material with good water absorbing
capacity. It is non-toxic, harmless and nonpolluting.


WHAT CAN IT DO?

Absorb lots of water or other liquid.   (applications: paper diaper, sanitary
napkin.)

After absorbing, turn to water gel which can return water back to plant.
 (applications: water retaining gel for plants.)

After absorbing, turn to water gel which can lock liquid strongly. 
(applications: water blocking material in  anti-flood bag, waterproof tape in
cables and so on.)


MAINLY APPLICATIONS

We can use sodium polyacrylate absorbing, retaining or to block liquid. Here are
some of applications as follows.

For Plants

Agricultural grade sodium polyacrylate can absorb water when it is rain and turn
to water gel to store water.This water gel can lock water powerful even the soil
is dry.

When plants need water, their roots will close to gel and get water easily.The
water gel will turn to powder after loose water and will get water again when it
is raining.We can regards it as a “mini-reservoir” for the pants.

Here are the advances for agriculture application:

 1. Improve seed germination and give plants an early, health start.
 2. Save the irrigation,increase crops and fruit yield.
 3. Release the fertilizer efficiency slowly.

Hygiene Product Applications (as absorption material)

Sodium Polyacrylate is widely used in hygiene products such as paper
diaper,sanitary towel,pets pad and so on.

For Paper Diapers

SAP for diaper has good permeability , strong absorptive capacity and
maintenance ability. It will not happen to return infiltration phenomenon under
a certain pressure.

For Lady Sanitary Napkin

SAP for sanitary napkin has fast suction of blood, high absorption capacity,
good gel strength and moisture resistance. The strong absorption capacity and
water retention ability in women`s sanitary napkin can keep dry and comfortable.

Other Sodium Polyacrylate Applications

For Cables

Used in waterproof tape and waterproof ointment for using in optical fiber
cables.

The absorbency and reaction is quickly and the overall inflation rate and
inflation extent are good when meeting water.

For Ice Bag

The single sheets of Ice Pack are activated by placing them in fresh tap water.
The super absorbent polymer will take up the water instantly, within 20 minutes
it has taken up enough water to form cushion shape ice cubes. Then you can place
it into freezer before use.

For Anti-flood Bag

SAP in anti-flood bag absorb water completely in 3 to 5 minutes when meets water
and the bag will inflates quickly. Before absorbing water, the bag is small and
light. It is very easy to store and transport. Also it not needs more storage
space than traditional sandbags.

For Concrete

-Permeability concrete.
-It with fibrous shapes potentially can be used to make high.
-Can be used as an internal sealant in cement based materials.
-A special use of SOCO Polymer in concrete could be as a controlled release
agent.
