Philadelphia, PA, January, 2022–The Honorary Consul of Latvia in Philadelphia,
John J. Medveckis, on behalf of the J.J. Medveckis foundation, has funded a
one-year scholarship program for a Riga Graduate School of Law student to attend
the Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law. The aim of this initiative
is to encourage other donors to support this partnership and to expand the
culture of philanthropy in Latvia.

Philadelphia, PA, May 11, 2018 – The Loren Eiseley Society of the University of
Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology (Penn Museum) has awarded
the Marion Angell Godfrey Boyer Medal to John J. Medveckis. The Boyer Medal
honors distinguished service by a Museum supporter.

Mr. Medveckis served on the Penn Museum's Board of Overseers from 2000 to 2009,
is a founding member of the Director's Council, and serves on the Museum's
Campaign Cabinet.

Riga, Monday, May 4, 2015 – John J. Medveckis, Honorary Consul of Latvia in
Philadelphia, is awarded the “Cross of Recognition" by the President of Latvia,
Andris Bērziņš.
