WILLIAM HUNTER



For decades, Bill has accumulated extensive civil litigation and municipal law
experience through his legal practice. As well as having appeared before various
provincial tribunals, Bill has appeared before all levels of courts in Ontario
including the Ontario Court of Appeal. He has also participated in numerous
mediations and arbitrations. Bill is well acquainted with the nuances and
strategies used in the legal system.

Bill completed a program of training in Alternate Dispute Resolution with the
University of Windsor. He has acted as a Mediator on various matters, including
a large number for the City of Ottawa during the amalgamation of the Regional
Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton in 2001.

He is currently named as the Integrity Commissioner, in accordance with
the Municipal Act, 2001, for several Ontario municipalities and, additionally,
has represented persons in integrity complaints.

Bill is a member of the Law Society of Ontario (retired) and the County of
Carleton Law Association. In addition, he is a former Chair of the Ottawa
Committee of Adjustments.

Having now retired from the practice of law, Bill is now offering his services
as an arbitrator and a mediator.

RATES INFORMATION




MEDIATION:

Full day: $3,000.00 ; Half day: $1,900.00

These fees are based upon a full day mediation/settlement conference consisting
of six hours and a half-day of three hours. They would include two hours of
preparation for a full day conference and one and a half hours of preparation
for a half-day conference, consultation and administration, along with traveling
time within the City of Ottawa. If there are additional parties or complex
issues, or multi-party cases, then the hourly rate charged in addition is
$385.00 per hour.


ARBITRATION

$3,000.00 per day; Half day: $1900.00

These fees are based upon a full day arbitration consisting of six hours and a
half-day of three hours. They would include two hours of preparation for a full
day arbitration and one and a half hours of preparation for a half-day
arbitration along with traveling time within the City of Ottawa. If there are

Pre-Hearing Conferences & written Awards: $400.00 per hour.
