At EPIC Dental in St. John's, we specialize in reconstructive, implant, and
esthetic dentistry as well as TMD/Orofacial Pain treatment. We are the first and
the only Prosthodontic Specialty practice in Newfoundland and Labrador. We are
located in St. John’s, EastEnd on Stavanger Drive. Our dedicated,
Board-Certified Specialist in Prosthodontics ensure that the highest quality
care is provided to each and every one of our patients.

Though many of our patients are referred to our office by general dentists or
other specialists, we would be more than happy to consult with patients without

WHAT IS A PROSTHODONTIST?

Prosthodontics is one of the nine dental specialties recognized by the Canadian
Dental Association and the American Dental Association; Prosthodontist is the
only specialist that trains exclusively to provide esthetic, reconstructive, and
implant dentistry. Prosthodontists have three years of additional full time
university based training beyond that of General Dentists in areas of cosmetic
and restorative dentistry that includes: fillings, dentures, veneers, crowns,
bridges, splints/nightguards, prosthesis for maxillofacial defects, implants and
cosmetic dentistry.

Prosthodontists are recognized as the diagnosis and treatment planning experts.
Identification of the cause of oral deterioration is a key element to any dental
treatment in order to stop the progression of disease, minimize its impact,
develop an effective treatment strategy and prevent future recurrence of
disease.

This scope of experience and educational focus distinguishes the Prosthodontist
as the authority in the creation of tooth replacements that fit precisely,
function optimally, and are biologically compatible.
