The Talbots Corporate Retail focused Internship Program is designed to give
rising juniors and seniors an opportunity to gain hands on insight and knowledge
within a specialty Retail Company.


Students will be immersed in all things retail for approximately 12 weeks. You
can expect a store visit, executive talks, professional development, a mentor
and an opportunity to see a 360-degree view of the business in this timeframe.
Students should expect that their experience may be a blend of onsite and
virtual at times.


Our goal is to provide top performing interns with either an offer to return the
following summer or an offer for full time employment post-graduation.


The Designer, Social Media Intern will assist the Creative Brand Marketing team
in executing social-specific creative marketing programs that deliver high
impact digital content to drive awareness and consideration of the brand among
our target customer and drive the Talbots brand forward.
They will observe and participate in cross-functional relationships between
Creative, PR, Merchandising, E-Commerce, and Online Marketing teams in addition
to external vendors and agencies.


What You’ll Do:
 * Support the creative development and execution of strategic social media
   initiatives and help design and execute daily postings across Talbots social
   media platforms.
 * Assist with Talbots content strategy development.
 * Participate in creative brainstorm sessions and provide ideas and
   recommendations for brand initiatives.
 * Shadow review of creative materials to ensure they meet the marketing
   objectives.
 * Learn about analysis of results of marketing programs both qualitatively and
   quantitatively. 



Who You Are:
 * High level of interest in working in retail/marketing/advertising/direct
   marketing post college graduation.
 * Graphic design and typography skills in Photoshop.
 * Familiarity creating content for major social media platforms. 
 * Ability to think strategically, conceptually, and creatively.
 * Aptitude for data organization and analysis.
 * Ability to manage and organize multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.
