SECURE BOOT BACKEND

The Secure Boot Backend (SBB) offers a signature and key management service, to
support the usage of secure boot on component side. Secure boot is an essential
measure for providing security in embedded systems. Secure boot comprises the
process, which ensures the integrity, authenticity, and confidentiality during
each boot process of a component. Manufacturers of the embedded systems can
assure this way, that only released and unmanipulated software is executed on a
device.

SECURE DEBUG BACKEND

The Secure Debug Backend (SDB) is used as a secure storage for secrets. A secret
will be generated and written into an electronic control unit, also known as
ECU. If access to the ECU is necessary after delivery, the secret is needed
again. SDB allows you to store and export the secret. Each import and export
process is tracked and logged to fulfill the secrets data protection need.
