Easing to isolated showers in the morning. Northerly gale in exposed places at first. WAITOMO TO KAPITI, ALSO THE CENTRAL HIGH COUNTRY Showers some heavy and possibly thundery, easing from late morning, but returning at night. GISBORNE, HAWKE'S BAY, WAIRARAPA, WELLINGTON Showers, possibly heavy, clearing in the morning, then late rain for Wellington and Wairarapa. Northwest gales. NELSON, MARLBOROUGH Early showers then fine, but rain developing in the evening. BULLER, WESTLAND, FIORDLAND Showers, some heavy and possibly thundery. CANTERBURY Partly cloudy. Showers developing about the High Country in the afternoon, a few spreading elsewhere in the evening. OTAGO, SOUTHLAND Scattered showers from late morning, some heavy with thunderstorms possible in the afternoon and evening. CHATHAM ISLANDS Rain, possibly heavy, clearing at night.
