Designer Lashes by Janette is based in central London in a celebrity clinic in
Wimpole Street.



Master technicians in semi-permanent eyelash extensions, Janette and her team
specialise in designing eyelash extensions to custom suit each client.

 

You can view our image gallery to see some results many clients have achieved
after treatment.  During a session, the emphasis is on designing the entire lash
line, taking into account the look the client would like, together with the
style of lashes that would best suit the eye shape and face of the client.  We
can help you decide between classic lashes for a natural look or volume lashes
for a more dramatic effect.

 

Lash extensions come in many styles, ranging from the super-dramatic Russian
Volume 3D and 6D lashes to the softer alluring mink extensions. No matter which
look you prefer, Janette and her team will supply you with a beautiful new
bespoke set of lashes that will delight you.

EYELASH EXTENSIONS


TYPES OF LASH EXTENSIONS



Individual eyelash extensions come in synthetic or natural cruelty-free mink.
They are bonded to your lashes and last for several weeks before a top-up is
required. Usually, top-ups are needed every three to four weeks.  If you decide
not to have a top-up because you only have extensions done for a special
occasion, they will last four to eight weeks before the last one falls off,
sometimes even longer if they are looked after properly.

 

We only use the best extensions available for high quality, and some clients
manage to keep them on for ten to twelve weeks.

 

Also on offer are 3D or 6D Russian lashes or LVL lash lift perms. Alternatively,
you can opt for blended hybrid lashes, which combine two different lash styles
to get the maximum advantages of more than one type of extension.


ALL ABOUT SEMI PERMANENT EYELASHES – THE LATEST BEAUTY CRAZE!



In our salon, extensions for lashes are available as individual synthetic or
mink lashes adhered one by one to your existing eyelashes. They are almost
weightless, feel and look completely natural, and are available in different
lengths, thicknesses, and curls to create your desired effect.

 

My West London eyelash extensions salon designs range from a completely natural
look (although enhanced) to a sassy, sexy look or the ultimate glamorous look. 
Whichever effect you decide upon, the lashes will add fullness and open up your
eyes, making an incredible difference to your appearance and how you feel about
yourself.


FAQ’S



CAN I SHOWER AND SWIM WHILE WEARING EYELASH EXTENSIONS?

You should avoid direct contact with water for the first 24 hours around the eye
area. After that time they will be fine in water as the bonding agent is
waterproof. If possible, avoid direct contact with the jets of the shower on
your lashes and wear goggles when swimming.

CAN I STILL WEAR MAKE-UP?

Yes. You can continue to wear make-up when you wear semi-permanent extensions,
but it is important to use an oil-free make-up remover, as oil will damage the
bonding agent. You will find you no longer need to use mascara, but you can use
it on the tips of the lashes if you desire. However, waterproof mascara is not
recommended. I carry a range of after-care products specifically made for
eyelash extensions.

HOW LONG WILL SEMI-PERMANENT LASHES LAST?

It is normal to lose a few individual false eyelashes in the first 24 hours
whilst the adhesive is setting, and care should be taken during this period.
Your own lashes are shed naturally, and new ones continue to grow in a
replenishing cycle. We naturally shed 2 – 4 lashes from each eye in a day, so
the extensions will last as long as the cycle of your natural lash. Touch-ups
are recommended every 3 – 4 weeks, depending on your individual needs (you must
still have over 30% of your eyelashes remaining for it to be counted as a
touch-up). Your after care will affect how long your extensions last.

HOW MANY EXTENSIONS ARE APPLIED?

Anywhere between 50 – 150 individual eyelashes are applied to each eye. The
final amount will be dependent upon the size and shape of your eyes and the type
of look you want to achieve (natural or glamorous). I focus on designing and
shaping the entire lash line using different lash sizes to create an
individually designed look.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE PROCEDURE?

There will be a consultation in my salon before we start to establish the look
you are after. I will then recommend the best lash length and curl of lashes to
suit your needs and based on the condition of your own lashes, but ultimately
the choice is yours. The initial application of a full set of semi permanent
eyelash extensions will take approximately 1 ¼ – 1 ½ hours. Once we start the
application all you need to do is relax and keep your eyes closed. It’s totally
painless. When you open your eyes, you will have thick and beautiful lashes.
