Hi all, OneNote files with "Microsoft OneNote Table Of Contents (.onetoc2)" file type, has been created on all folders of Shared Folder (file server). Seems these files were created after we migrated to MS Office 2016 (which includes OneNote in the package). Any idea why these file are getting created everywhere ? How can we stop it ? just deleting all files by searching with .onetoc2 is fine or is going to be re-created again ? Looking for your suggestions !! This thread is locked. Replied on January 21, 2017 This happens if you open the shared folder which (I assume) contains Onenote notebooks itself AS a notebook (= one folder level too high). Onenote "accepts" any folder as a notebook. What you see is a well known and always surprising scenario. The solution: Find out who did this and let him close that pseudo notebook.
