<br>Recently, there have been reports of malware targeting popular browsers such as Edge and Chrome, stealing information such as user IDs and passwords that were previously saved in the browser. <br><br>This attack commonly uses phishing
emails to trick victims into opening malicious attachments or accessing malicious URLs, and in turn downloading malware (masquerading as a fake installer) that infects the victim's machine. Subsequently, the malware harvests login credentials
saved on the infected machine, which are then used in other malicious activities. <br><br>Users are reminded to stay vigilant and follow these security best practices: <br>- Beware of phishing emails asking for your login credentials,
especially those involving the use of Singpass or Corppass. <br>- If you receive a suspicious email, do not download any attached files or click on hyperlinks. Delete the email immediately. <br>- Never disclose your passwords and Two-Factor
Authentication (2FA) details to others. <br>- Do not allow strangers to use your device. Protect your device with a strong password or biometric options. <br><br>Ensure PC's operating system, web browsers and other software's security patches
are up-to-date: <br>- Only install software and updates from legitimate sources. <br>- Only install updates for your internet browser through its official website.
