He was able to read the room and switch up music seamlessly and help keep the fun vibe going. The venue gave feedback that the DJ was great to work with. Fast forward to November and once again we engaged Chris for my daughter’s wedding at Azure Ridge. We added on the up lighting (Chris owns his own equipment so his prices are reasonable for add ons). He met with the bride and groom ahead of time and again customized the music for their wedding. He worked with the venue given we had the whole estates booked and the ceremony taking place in a different area than the cocktail hour, the dinner and later the dance. He knew the questions to ask, the various set ups required and this went off seamlessly. He delivers exactly what I need. A consistent mix of music that we have pre-determined (together) will be the correct music formula for our club & our patrons. While consistently updating his music to make sure it fits that vibe but never becomes stale or dated. He is always on time and always flawlessly entertaining. And as a person Chris Hastings is genuine and personable and my clients, are always pleased with how they’re treated and how they feel like they are part of the event going on around them. I really can’t say enough positive things about Chris Hastings as a DJ he is exactly what the doctor ordered for my club but also if I ever needed a DJ for an event outside of the venue I would definitely reach out to Chris at EXDJ before anyone else. Chris has been able to keep us in the pocket for our normal weekly clientele and also, through the use of his vast music library. put together some very successful theme nights for us (such as a Flashback 90s night a Fusion Latin night and even a Rock night). We were told Chris would bring the heat and some. We gave Chris a long setlist of must haves for the wedding. I do not know how but he managed to mix it all together with smooth seamless transitions. We had requested everything from country music to punk rock, from ABBA to electronic. The day of the wedding Chris showed up early and was very professional. He even assisted us with setting up our wifi photo-booth. Chris played the music at the perfect volume. He got everyone up and dancing. Chris also took requests at his DJ booth. He managed to mix those requests into the eveving music seamlessly as well. There wasn’t a moment the dance floor was empty. He had all the songs play perfectly for when everyone walked down the aisle. We told him we werent picky about what music we wanted played for the dance portion and told him to do his thing.
