How do I configure the APN on my phone?

For assistance with the APN configuration for your phone, please go to
https://www.tracfone.com/apn and enter your phone number. Follow the directions
on that page.

Cannot Send/Receive SMS/MMS ⭐️

There are a few reasons why your smartphone/device might not send or receive SMS
and MMS messages:

 * Service Plan Expired
 * A weak or no signal
 * Issues with the Messaging app
 * 3rd party apps not working properly




Service Plan has expired

If your your service plan has expired, you will need to add services back to
your phone before you will be able to send or receive messages.

If you're not sure, click Check Usage / Due Date below to use our automated
system.

 1. Select "I am a customer"
 2. Enter your 10 digit Phone # (or IMEI / ESN / SIM)
 3. Then select Check Usage or Check Due Date to begin.




If you've recently refilled services, or reactivated your phone, it could take a
few minutes for our systems to update. 

You can try turning Airplane Mode on for a minute and then turning it back off.
This sometimes works to re-register the phone and SIM to our network.

Are you only unable to send SMS or MMS messages in specific locations?

Try moving to a different location and send your messages again.




Have you rebooted your device?

Try powering your device off for 30 seconds, then powering it back on.




Is your device software and apps up to date?

Try updating any available software updates.







Have you recently downloaded any 3rd party applications since issue began?

Try uninstalling any recently installed apps.

there are several ways that we can assist you with further troubleshooting.

 4. Then select "Technical Support" to begin diagnostic.

What should I do if my device can't find a signal or can't register on the
network?

There are a few reasons why your device might not be able to find a signal or
register on the network. Let's take a look at some of the most common and try to
help resolve the issue.




Do you have Airplane Mode enabled?

This might have happened by accident. Take a look at the top of your screen near
your signal indicator, if ou see an airplane icon, then Airplane Mode is on.




Now, if Airplane Mode was off, try turning it on for 30 seconds and then turning
it back off. This can help to re-register the phone and SIM to our network.

Have you tried rebooting your device?

This is simply powering down the device fully and powering it back on. This
"Soft Reset" helps similarly to Airplane Mode but with additional aspects of the
device and network.

to registar on the network, there are a few more ways we can assist you with

Technical Support

How do I enable LTE?

By default, your phone is set to automatically choose the best available
network. If your phone is not connected to a network, you may be in an area
where service is not yet available or you may also be in an area with poor
wireless coverage.

If you are indoors, try moving closer to a window or the perimeter of the
building, or try going outside.

If changing your location does not solve your problem, try restarting your phone
by turning it off and then on again.

NOTE: Not all Networks or Network Services are available on all devices or in
all areas.

To verify your network, follow these steps:

NOTE: You must temporarily turn your Wi-Fi Connection to "Off."

 1. From the main screen, slide the screen up to display your apps.
 2. Locate and tap the "Settings" icon.
 3. Locate and tap "About phone."
 4. Tap "SIM status" or "Status information."
 5. Then, tap "SIM card status."
 6. Look under
    * "Mobile network state" for your current network state.
    * "Mobile voice network type" for your current network type.

 1. From the main screen, slide the screen up to display your apps.
 2. Locate and tap the "Settings" icon.
 3. Tap "Connections."
 4. Tap "Mobile networks."
 5. Tap "Network operators", the "Automatic" mode should be selected.

 5. If necessary, tap "Advanced" to view additional options.
 6. Under "Network" or "Networker Operator," the "Automatically select network"
    option should be switched to "On."
