Mens Journal FORMER WWE STAR GETS 17 YEARS IN PRISON OVER FATAL CRASH By Stacey Ritzen, 5 days ago WWE Hall of Famer Tammy Sytch, better known to fans by her wrestling name, "Sunny," was sentenced to 17 years in prison in a Volusia County, Florida courtroom on Monday over a March 2022 car crash that killed a 75-year-old man. Sytch, who was driving a 2012 Mercedes-Benz, was accused of rear-ending the victim's 2013 Kia Sorento while he was stopped at a traffic light. Authorities from the Ormond Beach Police Department later determined that the 50-year-old had a blood alcohol content of .08 (the legal limit in Florida) or higher. After initially pleading not guilty to eight charges stemming from the incident, Sytch reached a plea agreement with prosecutors back in August. She was ultimately sentenced to 17 out of a possible 25 years, and will also be required to serve eight years of probation following her prison sentence, in addition to having her driver's license permanently revoked. Before the fatal crash, Sytch had been arrested on DUI charges at least six times in Pennsylvania and New Jersey between 2015 and 2019. According to TMZ , Sytch addressed the courtroom for a few minutes during the hearing, at which point she allegedly broke down in tears during her speech and apologized for her actions. "I know my words are not enough but please know that I think about you every day," she at one point said directly to the victim's family. She was said to have appeared "stoic" during her sentencing, before being led out of the courtroom by officials. The hearing supposedly lasted several hours and featured testimonies from those involved with the case, including a medical expert who had previously evaluated Sytch. 784+ Comments / 419 Add a Comment Carol Johnson 4d ago the people who enjoy drinking and driving should be ashamed of yourself taking people's families and friends who they love and hold close to there hearts so if you need to drink and get drunk to where you are falling down do the right thing don't drive stay home and sleep it off instead of taking a inocent Life happy holidays do the right thing it could be you not coming home 🏠 God t😊 Reply(59) 102 Scott Laboch 4d ago So sad. She had such a great career, was beautiful, & she went down the wrong path of drugs & alcohol. She looks so rough now...Most probably wouldn't even recognize her.Well, she played stupid games, & won a stupid prize! Idk why her license wasn't taken away years ago, since she was arrested for DUI 6 times!!! SMH I blame the states as well, for not taking her license away sooner. I hope the elderly man RIP!
