On 26 August 2022 – VinaCapital is delighted to continue our partnership with
the State Securities Commission (SSC) of Vietnam to organize a series of
seminars about open-ended funds for new investors in HCMC and the southern
region of Vietnam.

JIH SUN VIETNAM OPPORTUNITY FUND LAUNCHES WITH VINACAPITAL AS INVESTMENT ADVISOR



On 25 January 2022 – VinaCapital Fund Management JSC (“VCFM”) announced that it
is serving as investment advisor to Jih Sun Securities Investment Trust, a unit
of one of Taiwan’s leading financial services companies, on its newly launched
fund, the Jih Sun Vietnam Opportunity Fund (JSVOF).

VINACAPITAL’S OPEN-END FUNDS LED THE MARKET WITH OUTSTANDING 2021 RETURNS



On 13 January 2022 – VinaCapital Fund Management Joint Stock Company (“VCFM”) is
pleased to announce that its open-ended funds ended 2021 with some of the
highest returns in their respective categories. VESAF led the way with a return
of 67.0%, making it the best-performing open-ended equity fund in the market in
2021, a continuation of its leading position in 2020. VEOF increased 56.5%,
ranking second in the market. Meanwhile, the company’s balanced fund, VIBF
returned 35.2%, ranking it second among funds with similar investment
strategies. VFF, a bond fund, increased 7.7%, also taking first place for
performance in that class. Both equity funds significantly outperformed the
benchmark VN-Index in 2021 (+35.7%).

VINACAPITAL VENTURES JOINS SYGNUM’S SERIES B FUNDING ROUND



On 7 January 2022 – VinaCapital Ventures announced that it joined the
oversubscribed Series B fundraising round for Sygnum, a digital asset technology
group with a Swiss banking license and a Singapore asset management license. The
Series B funding round raised USD90 million and values the company at
approximately USD800 million.

VINACAPITAL VENTURES VIETCHALLENGE DRAWS OVER 700 START-UPS

The event, held in Hanoi on 25 November 2020, saw the start-ups compete to win
nearly USD200,000 in cash and in-kind support. Secretary of the Hanoi Party
Committee Mr Vuong Dinh Hue spoke at the event, acknowledging the role
innovation and technology will play in making Hanoi an even more attractive
destination for investment, and pledging the government’s continued support to
fostering the further development of tech start-ups. On hand for VinaCapital
were Don Lam, CEO, and Trung D. Hoang, Head of VinaCapital Ventures. Dr Philipp
Rösler, Chairman of VinaCapital Ventures Advisory Committee, also joined the

VinaCapital launched its first ETF, the VN100 ETF (FUEVN100) on the Ho Chi Minh
Stock Exchange on 21 July 2020. It aims to replicate the performance of the
VN100 Index, comprised of the exchange’s largest and most liquid stocks, and
offers investors with low-cost exposure to some of Vietnam’s leading large and
mid-cap companies across a range of sectors with no limits on foreign ownership.
