Granholm indicated that the administration is willing to provide funding for the nation’s first commercial small modular reactor at the site. “Excited to see a shovel in the ground, hopefully in a few more years,” she said. “TVA is leading on small modular reactors with this site. Everybody’s looking to TVA to make sure that this can actually happen.” * Search Search ANS * Scholarships * Honors/Awards * Nuclear Careers * Policy * Nuclear News * ANS Store * Join * Donate * Sign In JOIN US FOR A FREE EVENT ON DECEMBER 18 Learn more RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP TODAY Renew JOIN US IN MAINTAINING NUCLEAR'S MOMENTUM Watch video Granholm visits Clinch River Site to show support for SMRs 3h ago ANS Winter Meeting: Advanced reactor licensing 6h ago Kerry shares U.S. plan for international fusion energy engagement on COP28 stage 8h ago ANS Winter Meeting: The back end of the fuel cycle 11h ago Recap: The 2023 ANS Winter Meeting Wed, Dec 6, 2023, 10:03PM More Articles Advancing nuclear science and technology for the benefit of humanity About ANS UPCOMING DECEMBER 10–14, 2023 | New Orleans, LA MATERIALS IN NUCLEAR ENERGY SYSTEMS (MINES 2023) Read more APRIL 4–6, 2024 | Penn State University 2024 ANS STUDENT CONFERENCE Read more APRIL 21–24, 2024 | San Francisco, CA INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON PHYSICS OF REACTORS (PHYSOR 2024) Read more -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AMERICAN NUCLEAR SOCIETY MEMBERSHIP A MEMBERSHIP THAT MATTERS ANS is the premier society for professionals who want to advance their careers, exchange knowledge, advocate for their field, and shape the future of nuclear science and technology.
