BELAVIA IS INTERESTED IN PURCHASING MS-21 AND SUKHOI SUPERJET NEW

THE GENERAL DIRECTOR OF THE AIRLINE, IGOR CHERGINETS, SAID THAT IF POSSIBLE, THE
AIRLINE WOULD PURCHASE AIRCRAFT TOMORROW

MINSK, March 12. /TASS/. Belavia Airlines is interested in purchasing Russian
aircraft, including MC-21 and Sukhoi Superjet New. This was announced by the
airline's general director Igor Cherginets.

“The Russian Federation has a plan to produce a thousand different aircraft by
2030, this is not only the MC-21 and Sukhoi Superjet New, but also other
aircraft,” SB quoted him as saying . Belarus today ". - I would not say that
there is some demand to get rid of any Western airliners. But there is a desire
and need to acquire new Russian aircraft, those that will also be made in
cooperation with Belarus."

Cherginets added that if possible, the airline would purchase MS-21 and Sukhoi
Superjet New aircraft tomorrow. “However, while they are going through the stage
of testing, modifications, and so on, all the import-substituted components are
still not enough,” he said. “However, the process is underway, and I am sure
that in the end everything will work out.” According to him, not a single
aircraft in the world, not a single manufacturer, be it Boeing, Airbus, Embraer
or Bombardier, is produced quickly.
