CSiXRevit for Revit is a plugin that enables bi-directional data transfer to CSI
software products: SAP2000, ETABS and SAFE.

CSiXRevit supports the four main workflows of data transfer with Autodesk Revit:

 * Exporting from Revit to create a new CSI software (ETABS, SAP2000 or SAFE)
   model.
 * Exporting from Revit to update an existing CSI software (ETABS, SAP2000 or
   SAFE) model.
 * Importing from CSI software (ETABS, SAP2000 or SAFE) to create a new Revit
   Model.
 * Importing from CSI software (ETABS, SAP2000 or SAFE) to update an existing
   Revit Model.

Users have full control over what model data gets transferred and how that data
gets mapped to equivalent objects in either software.


FEATURES:

 * Modeling Structural modeling can be done in ETABS, SAP2000 or SAFE; or in
   Autodesk Revit and then later be synched up.
 * Data transfer The user has full control over what model information will be
   transferred between CSI software models and Autodesk Revit models.
 * Intermediate data exchange All CSI Products use the same intermediate data
   exchange file (.EXR) to control model data exchange.
 * Parametric mapping CSiXRevit will support both direct section mapping of
   standard steel sections and also parametric sections that have been defined
   in Revit.


INSTALLATION

CSiXRevit requires its own license to run. You must first install Autodesk Revit
before installing CSiXRevit on the same machine. Whether you are using a
standalone license or a network license, CSiXRevit must be installed on each
workstation where it will be used. Only 64-bit operating systems are supported
by Autodesk Revit and CSiXRevit.

CSiXRevit can be installed on the same machine as ETABS, SAP2000, or SAFE, but
this is not required. Data transfer files (*.EXR) exported by CSiXRevit on one
machine can be moved to another machine for importing into ETABS, SAP2000, or
SAFE, and vice-versa.


VERSION COMPATIBILITY

CSiXRevit v2023 is compatible with:

 * ETABS (v15.0.0 and later)
 * SAP2000 (v17.2.0 and later)
 * SAFE (v14.0.0 and later)

The recommended build of Autodesk Revit can be seen in CSiXRevit by using the
menu command About. You must check the results carefully if you use other builds
of Revit.
