The winners of the biggest ever sum handed out to EuroMillions players in the UK
have been revealed.

Happy couple Joe and Jess Thwaite from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, took home
the dream prize, a mega sum of exactly £184,262,899.

The winning couple, their lives now changed forever, said they are "not sure
anyone is really prepared for a win like this".

The lottery often has people dreaming of what they would buy with such an
enormous sum of cash, and it also sparks debate about if people would go public
with their winnings.

So who are the couple from Cheltenham who won Britain's biggest every National
Lottery sum?

Joe and Jess Thwaite are a couple from Gloucestershire who won a massive £184
million EuroMillions jackpot, the largest ever National Lottery sum.

The pair have been married for 11 years and have two children, both at primary
school.

They recently moved into a new home where they have three dogs, five chickens,
two geckos and three ponies, two of which are loaned.

one writing: "Can't imagine a more deserving family... massive congratulations."

Jess Thwaite's friends told her it "couldn't happen to a nicer family"

Another said: "Wowzers Just seen the news! Couldn't happen to a nicer family."

Jess runs the business side of a hairdressing salon along with her sister, and
said her dad, who died seven years ago, always played the lottery and dreamed of
winning it.

She explained that the last few years had been "hard" and they were "just like
many people and families across the country".

She said: "My sister and I have tried to look after the business and the 20
staff, but times are difficult in hairdressing. Joe has been working hard and we
have always tried to put everything into doing the best we can for the
children."

The beaming lottery winner revealed to her sister recently that she had a secret
and Jess explained her sister's first question was "Are you pregnant?"

Jess and her mum arranged to meet in a local car park as she had some big news
to share. She explained her mum started screaming when she told her about their
win.

Britain's biggest ever EuroMillions winners have been revealed as Joe and Jess
Thwaite, 49 and 44, from Cheltenham.

Their winning numbers on May 10 were 3, 25, 27, 28 and 29 - plus the Lucky Star
numbers 4 and 9.

They won themselves an enormous £184million figure in May 2022, which made them
the richest ever National Lottery winners.

Jess said: "My dad played the National Lottery all his life and constantly
dreamed of winning.

"He'd always ask us what we'd do when we won, how we'd spend it, who we'd treat.
It was a regular conversation and I feel like he was preparing us."

Joe said: "The family always ask me if I have a ticket for the big draws. While
I don’t play every week, I do a Lucky Dip when there is a big jackpot. Although
I don’t feel like I’ve had a lot of luck in the past."

He added: "I looked it up and saw we’d won. I saw how much and I didn’t know
what to do.

"I couldn’t go back to sleep, I didn’t want to wake Jess up so I just laid there
for what seemed like forever. I spent some time searching for property with no
budget limit, which was a novelty!"
