ABOUT THE FACILITATOR

JEN CALLEN

Facilitator
Jen studied at Beloit College earning her BS in Chemistry and after 4 years
spent in cancer research decided to transition from indirectly helping others to
direct care. She graduated in 2007 with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from
Saint Louis University with an emphasis on families and mental health. During
and after her clinical training and obtaining her LCSW she spent her time
focusing on individual, group, and family therapy in a variety of settings:
in-home/community, special education, and private practice. Jen worked with
children in State custody reunifying with their families; children in foster
care to minimize placements; created a therapeutic program at the middle and
high school level for students with social, emotional, behavioral concerns;
established trauma-informed classrooms at the elementary level, and received
specialized training in Dr. Karyn Purvis’ Trust-Based Relational Intervention
(TBRI). She has trained families and school staff as a Practitioner of TBRI.
Throughout her time spent in private practice, Jen provided therapy to kids ages
6-18, families, and adults focusing on anxiety, depression, ADHD,
attachment/trauma, and life transitions/stressors. Currently, Jen is a Provider
Network Lead at Spring Health focusing on clinical treatment for adolescents and
adults and working with a team to grow Spring Health Provider Engagement and
Community.
