For usage that can quickly go up, and perhaps even down again, Astra DB is very
well suited. That is why Internet applications that a truly mass-market, like
games, should consider such a database.

We know Astra is built on Cassandra / Kubernetes / Stargate and can work on any
cloud. The competitors we reviewed are cloud specific and create a lock in. We
also have the option to run Cassandra / Stargate ourselves if we wanted to. The
competitors don’t give that option.

We use Astra DB for storing big chunks of data. Previously, we were storing this
data as files and need to keep local copies when the data was modified or
updated. By using this product, we were able to reduce the amount of usage of
our cloud storage system. It also gives us the capability to keep t...

As the business grows, we no longer need to be concerned with adding new nodes
to the cluster prior to rapid growth periods, as Astra looks after growth,
operational support, and backups on our behalf. My experience thus far has been
Astra is a more robust cluster than we had on-premise.
