ABOUT US



Community Initiative for Development (COMID-Kenya) is a registered None
Governmental Organization and has been operational since 2013 as a Community
Based Organization, but was upgraded to NGO by the year 2021. It has been
supporting sustainable development of the vulnerable groups in the community
which includes: youths, persons with disability, women and children to improve
their livelihoods. This we do through supporting groups with agribusiness to
increase their productivity through training on innovations and climate smite
agriculture. We also train them on value addition of their products for
increased profitability and do market linkages for them. We have supported more
than 200 groups start agribusiness enterprises which intern has changed
livelihoods of over 3000 households. We have specialized in agricultural value
chain diagnostics and advisory, design and implementation of agribusiness
ventures, market research and market linkages. We also provide variety of
agricultural technologies for land preparation, planting, crop protection and
post-harvest handling for tubers, fruits and vegetables for sustainability.
