One reason for the existence of Amazon and eBay is that they implicitly vet their sellers. If you pay for something, and the seller is fraudulent, Amazon or eBay will make good. Similarly, Visa and MasterCard stand behind merchants who accept payment through their systems. But BuyDiscountStamps.com tells you to send them a check, so they can avoid the commissions and fees. In effect, you're being asked to send money on trust to an unknown seller. As I said, at least at the time this review was posted, BuyDiscountStamps.com is perfectly legit.
