MATERIALS EVALUATION, NOVEMBER 2021

The November issue of Materials Evaluation features a paper on a new automated
condition monitoring for wire ropes based on a magnetic flux leakage flaw
detector permanently installed on the rope; a paper on a method to detect
hydrogen embrittlement in electroplated high-strength steel parts using
ultrasonic surface waves; and a paper on detecting cracks and their orientation
