ABOUT MSG LAW Susan Guzzo has more than 20 years of experience as a civil litigator, having worked at some of the top firms in the City of Toronto, but spent her formative years in Northern Ontario; the daughter of working class parents, an upbringing that lent pragmatism and approachability to her legal practice. Susan has the skills to help you navigate the legal system, whatever side of the litigation you are on, and at whatever stage; from start to finish. Whether preparing court documents, attending with you during witness questioning, exploring alternative settlement solutions through mediation, taking a case to trial, appealing a case that did not go as planned, or giving strategic advice; Susan has handled all of those issues and more, for her clients. Learn More OUR AREAS OF PRACTICE Regardless of your situation, whether suing or being sued, the legal system admittedly presents itself as overwhelming, frustrating, and expensive; this is the moment you need a lawyer the most – one with the right experience to help you. CIVIL LITIGATION Click here GENERAL AND COMMERCIAL INSURANCE LITIGATION Click here STRATEGIC ADVICE Click here About Susan In the course of Susan’s career she has both defended and brought hundreds of claims on behalf of individuals and corporate clients, including construction professionals (engineers, architects, payment certifiers), health care professionals (lab technicians), other business professionals (insurance agents and brokers, accountants, mortgage agents and brokers), large and small business owners, educational institutions, financial services companies, all of whom were affected in some way by the negligence of others. Susan also provided advice to major, national and international insurers on policy wording and policy interpretation and was retained by insurers to defend their clients. Though Susan has appeared before the Superior Court, the Divisional Court, the Court of Appeal (Ontario), and various Tribunals advocating for her clients, she understands well that the majority of cases do not warrant a trial or appeal and will work with you to plan the best strategy to resolve your case in your best interests, pragmatically, and cost effectively.
