Description:
We are seeking a Security Operations Analyst to manage vulnerabilities and
alerts on the Rapid7 platform. The analyst will work with the security
operations team to review alerts and resolve issues. They will also help
classify risks identified by the vulnerability module within rapid 7 and work
with the infrastructure team to address them/patch/re-configure when necessary.
The analyst will eventually be responsible for managing incident response and
suppressing phishing emails. The ideal candidate will have experience in
vulnerability management and incident response detection.
Responsibilities:
- Manage vulnerabilities and alerts on the Rapid7 platform
- Review alerts and resolve issues
- Classify risks identified by the vulnerability module
- Work with the infrastructure team to address risks
- Manage incident response and suppress phishing emails
- Create projects to track risks
- Run weekly meetings with the infrastructure team
- Work with the infrastructure team to fix vulnerabilities
- Help create specific queries for reports and multi-authentication validation
- Demonstrate commitment to the team by working in the office for a period of
time before considering remote work
Requirements:
- Experience in vulnerability management and incident response detection
- Familiarity with the Rapid7 platform
- Knowledge of how networks work
- Familiarity with SQL
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well with a team
- Commitment to the team

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or related field
- 3+ years of experience in vulnerability management and incident response
detection

Must be onsite 5 days a week. Eventually will be able to work remote in January
