FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


1. WHAT DOES THE MANAGEMENT DRIVES SURVEY MEASURE?

The MD Survey measures the drives you use most frequently in your current
working situation, and also what you dislike or reject. Drives give a direction
to the way you react to your environment and therefore are a predictor of
behavior. Every individual has more than one drive, and there will be tension
between the drives. This makes completing the test difficult in some cases.
There is no intrinsic hierarchy between drives, the results do not make
judgments of ‘good’ or ‘wrong’, ‘better’ or ‘worse’.


2. CAN I STOP DURING THE TEST?

The test does not measure how long you take to answer the questions.
Intermediate coffee is no problem. However, you can not stop the test and
continue later where you left off. In this case you need to start over again.


3. WHY IS IT THAT I CAN’T GO BACK TO THE PREVIOUS QUESTION?

There is no need for you to go back for us to get a clear picture of your
drives. Your drives determine the way you’ll divide the points in every
situation. And every question is a new situation.


4. I HAVE TWO JOBS, HOW DO I FILL IN THE SURVEY THEN?

You do the survey from the perspective of the department or team that asks you
to do the survey.


5. WHAT DO I DO WHEN I DON’T KNOW HOW TO ANSWER THE QUESTION?

You’ll choose the answer which suites you best. Every day you have to make
choices from situations you really don’t want to choose from. Your drives
determine the way you’ll handle these situations.


6. WHAT DO I DO WHEN I HAVE STARTED A NEW JOB RECENTLY?

Do the survey as much as possible from the perspective of the new situation.
Tell the consultants who give you the feedback that this has occurred. Drives in
your working environment are pretty stable, unless the situation has changed a
lot. In general, changing jobs may show different results for the disadvantages
you are experiencing from a drive, but most of the time, not for the advantages.


7. AM I ALLOWED ALLOCATE 0 POINTS ON EVERY PROPOSITION IN A QUESTION?

No, you have to divide 12 points. The choice of how is up to you.


8. WHAT DOES A RESULT LOOKS LIKE?

The result is presented on one A4 sheet with three graphics. With a short
explanation, this can be read and shared with others. Therefore it is not a
extensive, written report. A detailed booklet comes with the result, and an
explanation from the consultant, who is trained and certified by Management
Drives to provide the feedback. The result will therefore be focused on you as a
person, and it allows you to ask questions and give remarks. An example can be

9. WHEN DO I GET THE RESULT?

You will receive the result in a meeting with a MD certified MD trainer. This
can be done individually, or with the team/department you work with.


10. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO DO THE SURVEY?

Doing the survey takes about twenty minutes, but you are allowed to take as long
as you want.


11. IS TIME USED TO DO THE TEST MEASURED IN ANY WAY?

No, as long as you are connected with the website you can do the survey.


12. MORE INFORMATION ABOUT MD?

addition, the person who gives you feedback on the result will be able to answer
any questions you may have.

PRIVACY STATEMENT

Management Drives is convinced that the protection of your results and personal
data is of great importance for the trustworthiness of its services. Results and
personal data are therefore handled and secured with utmost care.

When you complete the questionnaire and supply your personal data, Management
Drives stores this information in a secured environment. This information is
used by Management Drives to (1) calculate your drives profile, (2) analyze the
culture in your organization and/or team, and (3) create statistical surveys.

Your results and personal data will only be used for the above purposes. In the
overall report of the cultural analysis/team scan of your team or organization
your individual answers will not be visible. For processing purposes the license
holder is able to see the individual answers. Statistics help us to map
cultures. For example, we can calculate an average drives profile for all
managers in the public sector. This knowledge helps us to increase our
understanding of drives and to improve our services.

Your drives profile will be calculated and made available to the contact person
in your organization. Management Drives expects from its license holders a
professional, respectful, and discrete attitude in providing identifiable test
results to others. The privacy policy of the organization that provided you the
survey applies here.

Management Drives distinguishes six leadership styles based on six drives.
Leadership and drives are closely interlinked. Your leadership style
demonstrates the power of your drives when you use them to their fullest. It can
help any person, not only managers, to get the best out of themselves, the
situation and others.

After measuring hundreds of thousands of people internationally, we have
developed a model that works with six drives, each of which can differ in both
sequence and strength. In addition, we also distinguish positive and negative
aspects of drives. This means that millions of personal profiles and leadership
styles are possible, all based on six drives.

There are 20 questions, each with 6 possible answers. Please divide 12 points
between the 6 possible answers. Assign the most points to the answers you feel
are the most important. You can assign points to each of the answers if you

WHY DO WE ASK THIS?

We request your details based on our legitimate interest. If you do not wish to
provide an answer you can use the blank option, with the exception of the
question regarding gender pronoun. The Management Drives application produces a
detailed textual description of your MD profile. In order to do this correctly,
we need to know how you wish to be addressed. Management Drives is very
committed to supporting diversity. However, it could be that, because of the
grammar in some languages, supporting diversity in text is not (yet) possible.
If the textual description is not available in the selected language we will use
a default. Other data are used by Management Drives for statistical purposes
(for example to establish whether there are differences in drives between
different sectors). This enables us to improve our services and make a better
match with the user to offer the best possible service. If you complete the data
fields, we will ensure that the data cannot be traced back to you personally and
we will adhere to all other obligations in the General Data Protection
