HELLO, I'M BILLY.


A VIDEOGRAPHER, PHOTOGRAPHER & EDITOR BASED IN SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA.

This all began for me in the classroom, where as a homeroom teacher for 4th &
5th graders, I took the hamburger in a bun structured essay & flipped it into a
medium kids actually cared about: VIDEO. And no, video wasn't the dessert at the
end of the meal. Video was the main course; the vehicle for teaching basic
writing techniques & structures. As I filmed & photo'd my room to capture the
story of learning, I fell in love with the process of telling story through
photography & video. The combination of photo & video articulated the story in a
way written explanations could not do. I quickly realized that this medium
allowed vibrant stories to come alive because they cared about the story they
told. They gained empathy & understanding of each other. My role took on one of
the listener, always observing & reacting to the moment; helping each one of
them tap into their creative visions.

I want to do the same for you.
