PLUG-INS

All Copper Mountain Technologies VNAs include support for executable software
add-on modules or plug-ins. With plug-ins, customers and CMT support engineers
can develop extensions to the base software launched from inside the main
application menu. Place your executable into the /Plug-ins/ subfolder of your
VNA’s installation path, and then use the System->Plug-ins menu sequence to
launch.

AUTOMATIC FIXTURE REMOVAL (AFR) PLUG-IN

Automatic Fixture Removal (AFR) VNA software plug-in enables the measurement of
a wide range of components through comprehensive methods tailored to specific
fixture properties.

MANUFACTURING PLUG-IN

AMPLIFIER STABILITY

Plot amplifier stability K factor, Mu1 and Mu2 versus frequency by measuring
2-port S-parameters.



BOONTON RTP POWER CALIBRATION

Use Boonton RTP Power Meters to perform a power calibration on CMT VNAs. Please
download the Boonton Power Analyzer Suite from the .zip file before running the
plugin.



COMPRESSION POINT

Find the 1 dB compression point for active devices.



ERROR TERMS

The plugin shows the error correction terms that are used to calibrate CMT
Vector Network Analyzer. There are different types of calibration, such as Full
1-port (3 terms), 2-port 1-path (4 terms), and Full 2-port (12 terms). The
friendly UI lets user interact with the data, with many saving options.



HOTKEYS PLUGIN

Map F1, F2, and F3 keys as hotkeys to perform some common operations in the VNA
software.



MCM

Use different matching circuit models to de-embed or embed a matching circuit on
the VNA port.



MCM_PXI

Use different matching circuit models to de-embed or embed a matching circuit on
the PXI VNA port.



THIRD ORDER INTERCEPT

Third order intercept (IP3) measurements help characterize the linearity of the
device under test. This plugin helps automate IP3 measurements using a 4-port
VNA and an external combiner.



TRACE MATH

Perform trace math on two traces and plot the result.



SCALE AND OFFSET

Scale and add an offset to a measurement trace.



VECTOR VOLTMETER

The vector voltmeter plugin can accompany CMT's VNAs in measuring phase
difference, which has many useful applications, such as antenna
characterization, creating phase match cables, and analyzing MIMO antenna
structures.
