Sign In VIRTUAL GROUP ELECTION PERIOD IS NOW OPEN PERFORMANCE YEAR 2023 Clinicians interested in participating in traditional MIPS as a virtual group for the 2023 performance year must submit an election to CMS via email by 11:59 p.m. ET on December 31, 2022. Download the 2023 Virtual Group Toolkit (ZIP) PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCIES DECLARED IN PUERTO RICO AND FLORIDA PERFORMANCE YEAR 2022 HHS has determined that public health emergencies exist in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico due to the consequences of Hurricane Fiona and the State of Florida due to the consequences of Hurricane Ian. Therefore, CMS will apply the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) automatic extreme and uncontrollable circumstances (EUC) policy to MIPS eligible clinicians in areas of Puerto Rico and Florida that have been impacted. CMS has already applied this policy to areas of New Mexico that have been impacted by the recent wildfires and straight-line winds, and areas of Kentucky that have been impacted by the recent severe storms, flooding, landslides, and mudslides.
