From overcoming Hurricane Maria, which hit Puerto Rico in September 2017, to
being admitted for the Bar in Puerto Rico last week, alumna Karina Lasalle
Arroyo '18 continues to surpass any challenge. Karina transferred to Central
from the University of Puerto Rico at Rio Piedras through the Airbridge
Program, which provided an opportunity for Puerto Rican students, already
enrolled in college in Puerto Rico, to continue to make progress on their
degrees while recovering from the hurricane.

Graduating in May 2018 with a BA in Sociology and a minor in Criminal
Justice, she returned to Puerto Rico for law school at Inter-American
University School of Law. She has now been admitted to the Bar and employed
by the Department of Justice in Puerto Rico. Congratulations Karina💙🔱!
