ALTERNATIVE COMMUNITIES Alternative Communities invites you to partake in a ‘pluriversal’ future where we advocate a sense of belonging and connection between and amongst diverse individuals and social groups. The aim is to explore and strengthen intersectionality within and between (design) communities to envision new approaches to building robust, resilient and diverse communities. The Global Design Initiative (GDI) project, collaboratively led by five institutions since 2015, focuses on discovering new learning, thinking and designing parameters to respond to the clarion call of change.
