chronic Lyme and long Covid.

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT

Senior James Simon effects change by quantifying societal issues and working
directly with disadvantaged communities. “It’s always kind of surprising to me
how much of an impact you can make on people if you just put in the effort to
seek out opportunities,” he says.

MIT INNOVATORS

MIT spinout 247Solar is building solar power systems that use overnight thermal
energy storage to provide round-the-clock power and industrial-grade heat. “You
have to have a solution that operates 24 hours a day,” Bruce Anderson ’69, SM
’73 says.
