IMPORTANT NOTICE

Security Council resolution 2621, adopted on 22 February 2022, confirmed
that the Commission’s claims process was complete and final, and terminated the
mandate of the Commission. The resolution also called for the Commission to
conclude the outstanding matters necessary for its closure by the end of 2022.
The final session of the Commission's Governing Council was held on 9 December
2022 and after more than 31 years, the Commission is now closed.

There have been email scams whereby the recipient is requested to provide
bank details in order to receive an award from the Commission. Please note that
the Commission only made payments to governments for distribution to successful
claimants. It did not pay individuals or companies directly nor did it have any
individuals or banks acting as its agent. UNCC's office was in Geneva,
Switzerland, and did not have any branches in any country.
