   the Paediatric Cardiology Department is equipped to provide the following
   procedures and surgeries to our junior patient population.

 * INTERVENTIONAL PROCEDURES/CARDIAC CATHETERIZATION
   
   Many of the most advanced treatments for heart disease no longer require a
   large incision. These state-of-the-art procedures are performed with thin
   catheters that are inserted through blood vessels to open up clogged
   arteries, repair defects and prolong life.

 * NON-INTERVENTIONAL (SURGICAL) PROCEDURES
   
   The Department of Cardiac Surgery at NICVD provides state-of-the-art
   expertise in adult cardiac and thoracic surgery. We are focused on delivering
   exceptional patient care and education.
