The main issue shooting that day was the spray which, driven by the wind, coated the lens every few minutes. This photo is a crop that brings the scale of the wave. I still love the original uncropped image for it's pure chaos even though it lacks a focal point. I used a graduated neutral density filter to darken the sky a bit, and a 3 stop neutral density filter to get a slower shutter speed.
