The CSUF Center for Autism

Dedicated to research, education, and service in autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
The mission of the Applied Developmental Core is to understand developmental
processes in autism and to promote competence and wellbeing in children with ASD
and their families.

The Center for Boys and Men promotes research and community outreach in areas
related to the psychological well-being of boys and men. The Center facilitates
scholarly work on male gender role norms and diverse forms of masculinity and
how they intersect with mental health. The Center provides programs and
trainings for local professionals to help them respond to the mental health
needs of boys and men.

The Center for Cancer Disparities Research at CSUF was established in 2006 to
address the increasing burden of health disparities, especially in cancer.
Cancer is the second most common cause of death in the United States, and
accounts for nearly 1 of every 4 deaths. While cancer impacts us all, the burden
has been particularly high among racial/ethnic minority groups.

The Center for Community Collaboration at CSUF seeks to strengthen communities
through reciprocal collaboration with public agencies and community-based
organizations through the cooperative activities of the College of Health and
Human Development. It focuses on the ever-evolving education and practice needs
of the community.

The Center for Healthy Neighborhoods is a community facility based in the city
of Fullerton. Together with our stakeholders, we aim to alleviate education and
health disparities, revitalize neighborhoods, and reduce the cycle of poverty
through partnerships with underserved families within nearby communities.

The Employee Wellness Program, centered around the promotion of physical
activity and healthy lifestyle choices, is operated by the Division of
Kinesiology and Health Science (KHS). The program provides CSF faculty and staff
an opportunity to participate in exercise classes and provides information for
improving one’s wellness.

The Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to
an integrative approach to help people with fibromyalgia (FM) and other chronic
pain conditions manage their symptoms, improve their functionality, and increase
their quality of life.

Center for the Promotion of Healthy Lifestyles and Obesity Prevention supports
interdisciplinary research and works with schools and other community groups to
address issues of health promotion and the prevention of obesity in children.

The mission of Cal State Fullerton CSSOR is to promote education and research
concerning sport and the Olympic Games in their broadest cultural, social and
political dimensions. CSSOR’s goals include cross-disciplinary research on
issues related to sport.

The Mission of Center for Sport Performance is to conduct, present and publish
research and engage in consultations specifically related to improvement of
sports performance through application of the sub-disciplines of Kinesiology.
