Title: I bought my MP brush in London 12 years ago and it’s the best beauty tool I own. When I bought it it was 100.00 and at the time I thought it was crazy expensive but the charming English lady in the pharmacy who sold it to me told me it would last for decades and I suspect she’s right. It looks and performs like a new brush with really minimal maintenance. It has saved many a bad hair day when all I had time to do was run a brush through my hair before heading out the door. It’s a great styling tool and extremely durable. Do your hair a favor and buy it; you’ll never need to buy another brush.

Title: There have been a lot of doubts over the authenticity of Mason Pearson brushes sold on Amazon. I’d recently bought a brush on Amazon and decided to contact Mason Pearson for a price comparison which is when they told me that there were plenty of forgeries on the market. I decided to return the brush, unopened, letting Amazon know that i was worried it was a fake. Unfortunately this and a couple of similar complaints by other customers resulted in the seller being taken off the Amazon Marketplace. This is when i contacted Mason Pearson again and with the information they provided, i checked out the brush, kindly provided to me from the Amazon seller in question. I also compared it with an older brush i had, which was bought directly from the manufacturer. For starters, the quality of both the brushes was absolutely the same. The same packaging, the same good quality hard plastic, the same rubber pad etc.I’ve outlined a general guide below-(this was for my large pure boar bristle hairbrush, model B1)-1) The name on the handle should be in goldblocking and sunken into the plastic.2) The name on the handle should say:TheMason PearsonLondon EnglandPure Bristle (varies with brush type)3) There should be a hole at the end of the brush only, the side opposite to the handle.4) There should be 16 rows (or 8 rings) of tufts (varies with brush size)5) When you squeeze down on the brush you should hear it whistle or wheeze as the air flows out of the cushion and the cushion should bounce back at the same speed.6) This is for the ruby brushes only- at first glance the plastic on the handle seems almost black, but when you hold it up against light, it glows a wonderful deep ruby red.7) A drastic check is to pull out a small piece of the black bristle and set fire to it. The smell of singed hair would be clear or a plastic chemical odour would be the alternative.8) Another drastic check, and this is really not necessary, is to take out the top of the pad and you will find a stamp on the plastic head inside.I don’t know if all sellers on Amazon are selling authentic brushes but i believe this general guide can help customers interested in owning a Mason Pearson brush. One may wonder why Mason Pearson would suggest that these brushes are possibly fake? Well, for one, they have no way of knowing if these brushes have been obtained from their authorized seller in the US. And secondly, these brushes are being sold at a discounted price on Amazon, something that i believe the manufacturer does not approve of. Anyone spending 150-200$ on a brush deserves to know they own an authentic product and at the same time be able to take advantage of the discounts provided by sellers on Amazon. With Amazon’s excellent return policy, we have nothing to worry about.

Title: First of all, let me say that you have to understand what you’re buying when you buy a boar bristle brush. Research how to use them and how not to use them. You cannot use it for the same purposes that you use a modern hairbrush. The purpose of this brush it to help distribute sebum (oil from the skin) over all your hair. This brush is WONDERFUL for that purpose, but not necessarily for the purpose of styling your hair.I first bought this for my daughter, who is now a tween and who is now dealing with all the excess sebum that comes with adolescence. She was getting to the point that her scalp was so oily, she needed to wash her hair every day. Except she also has very fine hair that gets damaged from excessive washing. So, we learned to distribute her hair oil (Google “Just Primal Things” and “No-Poo” to get the link we used), and her hair looks so much healthier, now that she doesn’t have to wash it as often and it’s stopped breaking off while brushing. She uses this brush to style her hair, and it works for her fine hair, but I’ve actually been inspired to go no-poo as a result of this, and I have very thick hair. I distribute my hair oil with this brush and use a plastic brush to style my hair, because this brush makes my hair VERY static-y and this brush doesn’t do such a great job styling thick hair. (We got separate brushes, btw. One for her hair oil, one for mine.)These brushes are very well made. I waited for a couple weeks for a bristle to fall out, so I could burn it to verify it was boar hair. I ended up having to pluck one out, since the brushes didn’t cooperate with me. No false advertising, these brushes are 100% boar bristle. They had an odor when we first got them, which I understand is a result of it being made of boar’s hair. Boars aren’t the most pleasant-smelling creatures, KWIM? However, after a couple of washings (which should be done weekly to clean the sebum from the brush), they don’t stink. I still wouldn’t advise using this on wet hair. It’s not good for detangling hair. We use a comb to straighten our hair when it’s wet and to get tangles out, even when it’s not wet.I’m really pleased with how this brush is making my hair look, and I suspect my daughter is just as happy. I used to have to tell her to brush her hair. I know some of it has to do with her age, but she’s paying an inordinate amount of attention to her hair lately, something she never did before I bought this brush for her.

Title: I debated buying one of these for years – on the one hand they’re a legend, on the other hand, can a brush really be worth this price? The verdict? It’s a great brush. It is incredibly gentle on my long, baby-fine hair and does leave it smooth and shiny. I can’t really say if it is or isn’t worth the price, but I guess I’d say, it truly is a much better brush than any less expensive version I’ve tried, including other boar-bristle brushes.

Title: *****This is a review for a large Mason Pearson brush made of eight rings mixed boar bristle and nylon. The longer bristles are nylon and the shorter ones are boar bristle. It is a beautiful heirloom brush worth every penny of the incredibly high price. All of the larger Mason Pearson brushes, including this one, come with a cleaning brush, so that you can easily clean loose hairs out of your brush. There are two things you need to know when you’re ready to buy a Mason Pearson brush of any sort. One is the size: full-size (the largest size), handy (medium sized), or pocket (the smallest size). This is important not so much because of where the brush will be kept (say, in your handbag), but because of the bristle length of the various sizes. The smaller sizes have shorter bristles. The bristles have to be able to reach your scalp, and massage it and distribute the oils throughout your hair. If you want a small brush but you have thick or long hair, you’d do better with a larger size. The other consideration is the bristle type. Do you want a mixed bristle brush like this one that is part boar bristle and part nylon? What is most comfortable and performs the best with your hair. This mixed bristle brush will work well for you if your hair is fine to normal and not too long or too thick. Otherwise, you’ll need to go with the Detangler because the bristles are stiffer and can reach down through all of your hair to the scalp; the Detangler is the only Mason Pearson brush that can reach the scalp of extremely thick hair. Mason Pearson also makes an All Boar Bristle Brush for finer or shorter hair but I have never tried it.So, this mixed bristle brush is for normal, finer, and shorter hair. I bought it for myself but my husband uses it; although I have short hair it is very thick and straight and coarse and the brush bristles won’t reach all the way to my scalp, but slides over the top hairs. My husband loves it dearly though, and really enjoys using it himself, or as a special treat, allowing me to brush his hair. This makes the expense of a Mason Pearson brush well worth the money–it’s a luxury item and the purchase is an investment–but it’s worth it. If you’re the type of person who would rather enjoy an evening at home having your hair brushed by your spouse instead of going to dinner and a movie, then you can justify the cost. That’s how we did it :)For additional information on Mason Pearson visit their web site at masonpearson dot com.Highly recommended.*****

Title: It’s hardly necessary to add another 5 star review for this brush, but the brush is so fantastic that I wanted to add my voice to the chorus of others saying so. Assuming mine isn’t the first review you’ve read, you’ve heard the brush is great, and I’m guessing that you, like me, are wondering if it’s REALLY worth the price tag. I did too. And you might also be trying to find some tidbit of information to convince a reluctant spouse that buying a $200 hair brush isn’t insane, which, let’s be honest, it is, as my husband repeatedly told me. What convinced me really had nothing to do with the brush and everything to do with a general frustration buying crap. There are certain products that have risen to the top of their industry but that command a price premium – think Dyson vacuums, Vitamix blenders… the Mason Pearson is one of them. I have bought dozens of lousy hairbrushes in my life, most of them around $10. Sometime about a year ago, I splurged on a $40 brush that claimed to be “as good” as the Mason Pearson. It’s not. It’s essentially the same lousy brush with a hefty price tag. And when I think of all the money I’ve spent on brushes, it’s considerably more than $200, and had I bought this first I would have saved money and aggravation and had a better product all along. I have no idea what part of “brush science” makes this brush different, but it feels AMAZING to brush your hair with it.So, here’s what happened – I agonized over buying this. I read every review I could find. They all said essentially what I’m saying – it’s the best brush, we’re not sure why, but you should just trust me and buy it. So eventually, I did. The day it arrived my husband came over to watch me open it, naturally curious what in the world could possibly make a brush cost so much. And I think more than likely waiting with an “I told you so” chambered for when the brush inevitably was just a brush and nothing more. I ran it through my hair and immediately noticed a difference. It’s is just so perfectly comfortable and it feels like the brush is actually massaging your scalp when you use it. I was standing in my kitchen, not in front of a mirror, but my husband remarked immediately at how silky and shiny my hair was – from ONE use. If I saw the scene play out in a commercial I would have said it was absurd, but it’s true. One use, and my hair was so much softer and shinier that my husband noticed. I’ve been using for a couple of months now and I’m in love. Brushing my hair is something I look forward to.I have long, thick, wavy hair that I straighten, and it works great for me. I have a 7 year old with very long, thick straight hair and a 5 year old with medium length straight thin hair and it works well through all the different textures and lengths and they beg me to use it.The only thing I would say is that this is not the right brush to use on wet hair. I use a Wet Brush for that, which is no where near as nice as the Mason Pearson, but the instructions that came with it specifically said not to use it on wet hair and I believe them. I will be buying one of these for my daughters as they get older, because it will last their whole life and the earlier they get one the less they’ll waste on cheap drugstore brushes. Every other brush I’ve ever used feels like running sticky fingers through your hair. Buy this one. You’ll love it.

Title: Boar brush is amazingVery soft on my hair. I have full dense and well a lot of thick hair. I always used to have a buzz cut. This brush works for bothMy hair has grown naturally for three or more months and it’s pretty long. My hair grows very fast. I use this brush every day. The very first time I used this brush and the very first stroke I realized how shiny and almost oily it left my hair. But that’s just how my hair looks with the board bristles. I was always used to plastic and other types of combs that I guess we’re cheap. My old brush was made of wood and I would sometimes use it in the shower. The wood was damaged.I think if I tried that with this it wouldn’t have the same issue. But I won’t risk it.I was looking for more expensive brushes but this one was all I found to be most expensive at 14 and some change.I do use this with semi wet hair and it is magical. It also doesnt rot because of the water .Once I dry my hair completely I comb it to the style I want and it stays there. It’s easy to touch up hair with this and make you look neat.If you already have a comb. This would not be bad to have. Just for its properties and effects on the hair. After I think two months of use.My hair is neatly kept. Very thick but it looks silky now. Almost like mink fur. That’s the best way to describe it. I also use a special hair ointment so idk of that is also what helps. Sorry for the longoing review.

Title: I’ve been using this brush for just over 3 months now, and I’m entirely pleased with it. I have no way to compare it with cheaper similar (all-boar, same size) brushes so I can’t tell you if you really need to spend the money to get this brush. maybe you could find a similar brush that would be just as good. I can tell you that this brush has been absolutely magical for my hair. I have changed absolutely nothing else about how I care for my hair (i wash it only with baking soda, about once a week, and i occasionally use a small amount of conditioner rubbed into my scalp to keep it from being too dry after the baking soda wash). My hair has never looked or felt better. It’s shinier all the way to the tips than it used to be, and the tips are much less broken/split than they used to be. I am also finding that I need less conditioner, which was a surprise because I usually need it more during the winter when the air is dry from the heat. The brush feels good in the hand and feels good on the scalp. It’s a joy to brush my hair, and it just looks great afterward. Although my scalp can get dry after washing, it’s usually very oily, and after brushing the hair near my scalp will look very oily and heavy. Then I just turn my head over and fluff up the hair, and it looks great! I wondered for a long time if I should get this brush… worried I would regret the expense.. but I am very glad I got it. I should add that I have long almost-straight hair. I’d describe it as fine to medium. The hairs themselves are fairly fine and there just aren’t a lot of them. Using this brush I am able to achieve volume in my hair that was never possible before without a bunch of product and blow drying, which I never do at home and have only seen after hair stylists do it at the salon. Now I achieve very much the same effect with nothing but my own hair and scalp oils. I think the large size was an important choice for me given the length of my hair and all boar also seems to have been the right choice. The Mason Pearson web site is pretty primitive but gives some advice on how to choose size and bristles for your hair. I consulted that before choosing which brush to buy.

Title: The Board Bristle Brush leaves my hair shiny and manageable. I have thick frizzy hair and this brush works very well for styling. I use a wide tooth comb after washing my hair to detangle and then use the boar bristle brush. The brush is gentle and doesn’t pull or tangle when you use it. The bamboo handle helps with static in the winter and compliments the size of the brush. I especially like that this brush not only contains boar bristles but has some longer nylon bristles as well. I feel like the longer ones help reach to the scalp and the boar bristles leave my hair shiny which is hard to achieve on blonde hair. I received a discount in exchange for an honest and unbiased review and all opinions are based on my personal experience. I can remember growing up my grandmother would tell me to brush my hair 100 strokes with this boar bristle brush I can understand why. I would recommend this brush and would purchase it again.

Title: I have been holding off on this review for a specific occasion. I wanted to be able to test the claim this product makes of being able to be used without shaving soap/foam when in a hurry. Typically I am not in much of a hurry but last evening after a day of fourth of July BBQing and deck sitting, and with a return to work looming I did not feel like going through the whole shaving ritual. As such I decided my 4 day weekend beard was a more than adequate test of the prior mentioned claim. Knowing the oil worked great on prior shaves with shave soap i was not too concerned but I did used an extra pump just to be safe. I must say I was very pleasantly surprised when the DE safety razor glided across my face like any other shave, backing up the claim and then some. I can now say without a doubt this is a 5 star product with every confidence. The smell is not overpowering which I appreciate but is certainly present. Great product and I will be buying this again as well as trying out some of their other options.

Title: This stuff rocks! tried several pre-shave lotions, creams and a couple of oils. So far this is my favorite. Smells great, works even better. Using with a DE safety razor (Merkur and Standard) and “body shop” shaving cream (also great IMO).EDIT: I have now added the Blades Grim shaving soap, and aftershave to my routine… I must say that the whole suite is a pleasure to use. My wife and daughter LOVE the scent of all things “smolder” and so do I. Really great stuff

Title: So this is a little thicker than some pre-shave oils I have used in the past but I am very happy with the product. It has almost no smell which is quickly gone anyways either to the shaving soap, aftershave, or moisturizer. I highly recommend a pre-shave oil as it really does keep the irritation down. Soap is important too and I have a whole bunch of those I love. I find this key place to use is on my neck right under my chin as that is my biggest area of irritation when shaving. Another big thing is to go WITH the grain (just push your stubble and find the path of least resistance and shave that way) In my case I shave up on my neck area and down on the rest of my face as it does change. That makes a night and day difference and with a safety razor you just shave 2-3 times reapplying oil and soap/cream each time.

Title: I am very happy with this oil. The only other oil I can compare it to is the art of shaving oil. This oil is thinner than the art of shaving oil. If you don’t know, the art of shaving oil is made of olive oil and caster oil. This oil has a different formula which seems to be more effective at reducing irritation and pain associated with razor cuts and burns. Once I had a painful scratch on my forehead that was really irritating me. I rubbed a little of this oil on it and the pain went away and I was able to forget the scratch was ever there.I do feel that the thicker art of shaving oil provides better lubrication over the coarse of several applications of shaving cream or soap. This oil is not as thick and dissipates quicker. Overall I prefer this oil and it is priced much cheaper than its closest competitor. Plus if I really want the art of shaving oil, I would just make my own by mixing olive oil and caster oil together and save myself the $20. I can’t say the same for this oil, as it contains a more complex set of ingredients.

Title: This stuff works great. I was a little apprehensive about wet shaving as my skin is quite sensitive. I’ve been shaving with an electric shaver for years which was well tolerated, but offered not a very close shave. Using this pre shave oil before I lathered up with the Col. Conk lavender shave soap definitely enhanced my shaving experience. The razor smoothly glided over my face without any irritation. This was the closest and best shave I’ve ever had! Exceptional line of products over all!

Title: This product solved my problem with razor burn, cuts and nicks permanently. It doesn’t matter which of my razors I shave with, I get a consistently better shave using this product as part of my shave preparation that I do with anything else. It makes my beard softer hence easier to shave and my skin ‘slicker’ hence eliminating razor pull and drag. Preparation being 50% of wet shaving I won’t shave without this product. Amazon.com has the best price I’ve found on the internet for Proraso products as well.First I wash my face with hot water and soap, then I apply a moderate amount of Prorazo Pre-Shave and rub it spreading it evenly over my entire beard and then I lather up with whatever shave soap I want to use (sometimes Prorazo, sometimes Arko stick or tube soap, sometimes canned gel) and once lathered I wait for about three minutes to allow the mixture to further soften my beard; then shave. With these products used this way I can shave against the grain with a double edged razor on my first pass; which I do to reduce the irritation from repeated passes, with no cuts, nicks or razor burn. I have a coarse medium full face beard with sensitive skin and this really works for me. Of course when shaving: 45 degree angle, go slow and DON’T press. Let the razor blade do the work.I will continue to purchase this product at Amazon and have decided to subscribe for this product as Amazon offers even greater savings this way…and no, I don’t work for Amazon…but I am a happy and dedicated customer:)

Title: This oil smells great and works great. A couple notes:1. Be sparing. For most men a dollup the size of a dime in your cupped hand should be plenty. There should be enough to coat your whiskers but not so much that your face looks shiny. If you use no oil at all then you run the risk of irritation during shaving, if you use too much then your razor will glide over at least some of your whiskers with no friction and not cut as well.2. There will be oily residue on your razor after you shave. You will probably want to invest in a small spray container with rubbing alcohol in it to spritz down your razor after rinsing. You should really do this anyway, it makes your razor last longer.3. Don’t invest in this unless you are going to invest in the full wet shave experience. You’ll need a good brush (badger hair is the best), soap you can lather, and a nice after shave lotion. While you can use a traditional disposable/multi-bladed razor, I highly recommend getting a quality safety razor or a straight razor (if you’re daring). You don’t wet shave for convenience, it’s a gourmet experience.UPDATE – Using the amount noted above my shave oil lasted 9 months shaving 5 days a week.

Title: OK.Some of you have likely seen my review on the Merkur Safety Razor, as well as the Proraso Shaving Soap. Well, I decided to take the plunge on a good pre-shave. I’ve used pre-shaves before and found them extremely lacking, especially in the softening department. For the record, this stuff works very well as a base for your shaving soap. It’s got moderately strong menthol as well as a hint of eucalyptus behind it, and it will definitely clear your sinuses in the morning when coupled with a fresh, hot shower. And no, it does not smell like Noxzema. Noxzema has a sort of “creamy mint” smell, like Mint Chocolate ice cream. This one smells like you’re standing in a eucalyptus forest.I’d like to also go on record by saying that if you apply this first without fully rubbing it in, then apply the Proraso Shaving Soap directly on top, you’ll experience such a relaxing sensation…it’s hard to describe, almost spa-ish in nature. As if the barber shop were dead in the center of some spa. Trust me, it feels really good, and the blade glides right over to take the hairs out, even the stubble where you might not have had luck in the past. Your face will cool down quite a bit, almost like applying Icy-Hot.The key is to apply this on a wet face. Applying it on a dry face is all fine and good, but then you’re not benefiting fully from the moisture that is released when the cream interacts with the water. Also, it touts itself on Amazon as a pre-and-post shave cream…my honest opinion? The smell is too strong for a post-shave. I would opt something that is a little more subtle, such as the Proraso Menthol and Allantoin Aftershave Splash, which has a very light BRUT-ish smell to it, not nearly as strong as BRUT though, and it will settle in nicely while still giving you the same smooth skin.Overall, highly recommended for a quality shave, not personally recommended as an aftershave. My opinion.

Title: I’ve used a several different oils and found some small advantage from 1 or 2 of them. Many rationales people give for why a particular oil confers great benefits come off half-baked when I hear them. I get how “protective barriers” or “great lubrication” are going to improve your shave and reduce tug or irritation and I believe anyone who says that of a product they use based on personal experience. For me, the MOST important factor is how much irritation and redness is present the DAY AFTER you shave. I’m almost 30 and there’s always stubble the very next day no matter how close or irritation-free the day-before shave was. It would be nice if I could take my DE razor to my face and neck for two or three days in a row, but doing that with ANY amount of irritation or redness from the day before is asking for problems. My major problem area: the neck. You could say every pass is “against the grain” because my neck basically grows in a spiral pattern. One of the claims I usually deem outlandish about oils is that they actually succeed in softening the whiskers/the beard/the stubble itself. Lubrication helps. Protective barriers help, I guess. But actually softening the whiskers, for my situation, would have to be the most desirable effect. Shave cream might do this. Getting your beard moisturized and warmed up probably also does it. Maybe a pre-shave oil could, but I had my doubts. I put five drops of this on my palm, rubbed my hands together, and applied it to my face and neck. It’s a thin oil. Once you apply it, you can’t tell it’s there. I then applied regular natural shave cream with my silver tip badger brush as usual. No irritation afterwards, and no irritation the day after either. Back to the shave though – this must somehow truly soften the hairs, which is the claim I’m most skeptical of for oils. My DE razor (I use Japanese Feather blades) went over every area like I was on a third pass, or like there was no razor loaded. I’m really impressed with this oil. Absolutely no irritation or redness on any part of my face or neck the next day. I can’t recall a time that’s happened – not a single bump or red spot that I wouldn’t be able to go over again 24 hours later. This little 2oz bottle is going to last a very long time. The spout has a tiny hole and the plastic is firm enough that you can dispense small controlled drops. I’m sold. See what it can do for you.

Title: I have read in numerous reviews where other reviewers say they wish that the “discount/free” reviewers would state that up front, so they didn’t “waste their time reading something people have been paid to write.” Well, I received this product at a discounted rate in exchange for an honest and unbiased review, and for those of you who think I have “been bought” by Amazon or the sellers to write something glowingly positive, let me tell you: As a fellow Amazon customer, I rely on the reviews of others to help me decide whether to purchase a product or not, and would never endorse a product if I did not truly believe in the quality–if I don’t like something you’re going to know I don’t and why. So if you think that these discounted rate purchase reviews are contrived, those from some other reviewers may be, but anything I say is the honest truth. Please like my review if it has helped you decide in any way. Thanks!!!This oil is amazing! It is a combination of multiple oils that are all well-known for being great for softening and moisturizing. My husband has a perpetual 5 o’clock shadow, and if he has something going on in the evening, he will shave twice in one day. Needless to say it doesn’t take many days of doing that before your face gets irritated and painful. To top it off, he also has a thick, coarse beard that needs to be pre-soaked just to soften it up enough to shave. He has his shaving routine down, so when I suggested he try something new, he was understandably reluctant to do so but agreed upon seeing the list of ingredients. In the week that he has been using this product we have discovered two things: he is able to get a very close shave that does not leave a shadow (although the shadow grows back within 3-4 hours) and with this product he does not have to presoak his beard–just put this oil on and wait 2-3 minutes to shave. He still uses shaving cream, but I think that’s more from habit than necessity. His skin is amazingly soft with no redness and no bumpiness. This oil is medium-thickness–easy to spread on the face but not so thin as to run right off. It comes in a pump bottle and requires 1-2 pumps, smeared between the hands and applied to the face. It says unscented, but there definitely is a pleasant, subtle smell–I assume from the essential oils used to make it. It does not cause clogging of the razor as some other oils he has tried in the past have. After shaving he puts another pump between his hands and rubs it in–no need for aftershave. We will definitely be buying this product again.

Title: I used to have a very small mustache comb which was included in a beard care kit I received as a gift many years ago. About one third the size of this comb, it looked like it belonged in a doll house. Along with a pair of small smooth tipped scissors, it was perfect for trimming my eyebrows. For combing my mustache I usually use a brush for both my beard and mustache. An electric beard/mustache trimmer worked better than scissors to trim my mustache, but to trim my eyebrows that little comb was perfect. It’s hard to describe my actual grief when I couldn’t find that little comb one day. I kept it and the scissors in a snack sized ziplock bag on top of my dresser. I’ve searched high and low for them, and the only thing I can think of is that ziplock bag slipped unnoticed off the dresser into the trash can below and got thrown out with the trash. I’ve looked everywhere for an exact replacement, but after a year of looking none has been found. I then found this small Kent moustache comb and it looked promising. It is about three times as large (if you can believe that) but does the trick.I read somewhere that the material Kent combs are made from is cellulose acetate. Initially, I was not impressed, but in further study I found that acetate has superior characteristics to most plastics and is used in better quality eyeglass frames, for example. Acetate is certainly not a cheap type of plastic. Acetate is a non-petroleum material made from wood pulp. It’s strong and light and easily dyed. It is built up layer by layer into sheets and then cut and machined into products. These characteristics make it the perfect material for Kent combs. Rather than the teeth being formed by plastic injection as used in cheap combs, these Kent combs are cut from acetate sheets, then the teeth are cut and polished giving the teeth a very smooth surface.I cannot find any fault with this, a very superior quality comb (except maybe for the excessively large branding on the side). I’m very happy with this Kent mustache comb.I’ve grown to depend on customer product reviews to make more enlightened purchases so I try to do my part by contributing my own reviews to help others. Title: The Dream Bear Green Sandalwood comb is now my favorite comb for my beard. It is very well crafted, and I love the smell of sandalwood! I have previously used a brush on my beard, and it pulls the hair out as evidenced by all of the hairs stuck in my brush, but the sandalwood comb glides through my beard without taking my whiskers with it.Packaging:It comes in a very nice gift box. The latch is sturdy, and the comb fits perfectly in the box. It would make a great gift, and the recipient would think that you spent way more than you did.Build Quality:The comb is very sturdy since it is made out of green sandalwood, which is one of the hardest woods. In fact, sandalwood is sometimes called ironwood because of its strength. It is virtually unbreakable under normal use. The comb has both fine and course teeth, which makes untangling your beard a snap, and you can also style your stache with it.Use:I have been using this product for the past few days, and my beard is thanking me for it. It makes detangling my beard a snap, and it is great for applying beard oil.Green Sandalwood:Green sandalwood is one of the hardest woods on the planet. It is also aromatic, so it has a wonderful smell to it that will stay forever. There are a few rules to keeping your green sandalwood comb nice for years to come:1. Don’t use it on wet hair.2. Don’t dunk it in water, however, you can clean it with water occasionally.3. You must condition it occasionally with oil. This is not a problem if you use beard oil like I do, as it automatically conditions the comb daily. You can use jojoba, argan, grapeseed, or even olive oil to condition your comb.

Title: This is a great beard comb. The sandalwood smell is great and is still there after a full year of use. The versatility of being dual sided is great as well. The comb fits very comfortably in your hand and adapting to the lack of handle was effortless and naturally intuitive. I would recommend this comb to any man with a beard. My Rating Standards:- 5 Stars: The product is exactly as described, completely fulfills it’s intended purpose, AND I feel it is definitely worth it’s current full retail price.- 4 Stars: The product is mostly as described, adequately fulfills it’s intended purpose, AND I feel that interested buyers would be likely to consider it worth it’s current full retail price.- 3 Stars: The product may be slightly different or lower quality than described, barely fulfills it’s intended purpose, OR I have concerns over whether or not interested buyers may be likely to consider it worth it’s current full retail price.- 2 Stars: The product may be substantially different or lower quality than described, failed to fulfill it’s intended purpose, OR I feel that interested buyers would be unlikely to consider it worth it’s current full retail price.- 1 Star: The product was completely different or lower quality than described, in no way fulfilled it’s intended purpose, AND I feel that it is definitely not worth it’s current full retail price.

Title: Brand New Limited Edition Kent 87T Folding Mustache and Beard Comb may cost a bit more, but hey….it’s a limited edition, right? I love this little comb because when I need it I know it will be as good and clean as it was when I used it before. It folds up and remains straight without any lint or pocket debris in the teeth of the comb. There’s not hardly a worse feeling in the world than combing your “stache” and then someone says….”What is that thing in your mustache?” I just leave it blank so you can fill in any item you may carry in your pants pocket that could end up in your little comb. Yes….that’s right…from a piece of lint to a juju bee….everything can get in your comb…then your mustache. So, the limited edition is fold-up and it’s like a little garage for my little friend…besides it’s just awesome show the ladies how big your comb gets when it’s extended….

Title: Such a good brush, I love the firm bristles, I feel this is the only type of brush that spreads beard oil properly and grooms the beard hairs in the direction you go, and NO…it doesn’t pull the hairs for being so firm and tactile. I think this is best for medium to large beards IMHO. I also love the woody smell it comes with, the wooden side you hold is super durable, smooth, and ergonomic, even the cool high quality black cardboard it comes in I love and kept! I have cowboy moustache comb, and a few other sandlewood combs from Amazon, and this is the only one i really use now. 10/10 stars!

Title: Purchased the Comb Set of 3 several months ago. This is a 6+ month review.First ~ The 81T. Absolutely love this little thing. I keep in the center console of 4runner, and use it multiple times daily. I find myself reaching for it when bored in traffic or need those whispy’s tamed. I’ve also been known to dig it deep in to my chin hair and let it hang for several minutes at a time. A man’s got needs when he is bored in traffic!!! :)Next Up ~ The FOT. This stay’s in my drawer in the bathroom. I don’t use this one often, accept when applying beard oil/condition. I will sometimes decide to use this instead of my boar brush, but not often This comb gets the least amount of use.Lastly ~ The R7T. Use this with Layrite Brown Tub Pomade. Absolutely LOVE this comb … I start with the larger side, once tame, I switch to the finer side to clean areas up and give it a nice uniform look.Like all Kent products, these are well made, and a necessity for any man in his daily arsenal. After 6+ months of daily use, I have yet to have a single tooth chip off, and I have got some thick/beastly hair (both on my face and scalp!)

Title: I got this as in the mail the other day and as a man I have never been more excited to try a product. I am always taking my wife’s combs and let me tell you, I got the look of death the other morning. It was at that point I realized it was time to get my own comb . it is made of a thick heavy duty wood, it did have a unique smell but it may have just been the newness of the wood as the smell is already going away. I carry it in my shirt pocket and during serious talks with people I know I randomly pull it out and start combing my beard , as a result my wife has since stopped talking to me , which is an added bonus.I received this product at a free or discounted rate, but that has not influenced my opinion. I am lucky enough to be able to review these product so that I can give an honest unbiased opinion based on the value of the product.

Title: This comb is a must-have for anyone wanting to tame their unruly moustache. Hercule Poirot would have become one of his own adversaries for one!I had my doubts, as I’ve never bought a “premium” comb, but the Kent 81T works great!I was using (reluctantly) a green, plastic piece of injection molded crap that came with a tube of cheap moustache wax. The teeth, if you want to call them that, were thin, mostly bent, too close together and pulled the hairs of my impressive soup strainer so much that I rarely used it. The handle is also so small, it WAS difficult to hold. (I’ve uploaded a photo showing both combs, if you would like to compare the two.)That has all changed with the Kent 81T!I ordered three from a seller in Jolly Old England, of all places, and I keep one at my desk at home, one on my desk at work, and one in the watch pocket of my jeans (which is perfect for this diminutive comb). The comb is a little small, but not TOO small. After all, you’re combing a moustache, not a sheepdog. The handle is adequately large, I am able to easily grip it even with my large manly fingers (those of you of the feminine persuasion may find it a delightful fit), and using it to comb my ‘stache is like a dream: There is NO hair pulling with this hand-made, sawcut comb!I also bought three tins of Burts Bees Miracle Salve and I am using the two together on a daily basis to train my rather anarchistic lip-follicle-extrusions.You can also use the comb on your beard, in a pinch, but this comb really does its best work on a moostache.I’ve never owned a “premium” comb before, but am so impressed with my Kent 81T, that I just ordered a Kent Rake Comb to use on my head hair. These combs are a little more expensive, but I think they’re worth it!Pamper yourself today!

Title: “I’ve had this comb for a few weeks now, and I have to admit that I don’t go anywhere without it. Most combs that I have used are too long, won’t fit anywhere, and always seem to start breaking after a short time. This comb changes that. I can keep it in my pocket since it’s so thin, light, and has that perfect square shape to it, much like a wallet or phone. Each side has a different comb design and length, making it easy to comb my (long) hair and beard. All of the bristles are rounded and feel less jagged than traditional combs. They also feel very sturdy, which is much better than the flimsy bristles I was use to. The look of the comb is also awesome, with a nice wood finish that looks modern and doesn’t feel like a hassle to use in public when you’re in a rush. It slides out easily without getting caught on anything, and that alone helps with using the comb daily. I personally also like to apply a little hair wax into the small bristles because I have found it holds the hair product nicely and I can work it into my hair and beard way better than my fingers can. If you are looking for a nice, stylish, sturdy, and portable comb, this is definitely what you have been looking for.”

The leather pouch is a nice touch and adds an air of sophistication to the process of grooming ones face. A very nice balance between size and storage, well designed and effective. Again, as of one week, very happy.

Cookies are little pieces of information stored in the browser of a user. Whenever a user visits the site again, he will also send his cookie values, thus allowing the website to re-identify him even if he changed locations. This is how permanent logins work.
1 Console Messages
A page may trigger messages to the console to be logged. These are often error messages about being unable to load a resource or execute a piece of JavaScript. Sometimes they also provide insight into the technology behind a website.
