WHAT IS AN ALLOWLIST?

An allowlist is a crazy powerful tool that allows teams (NFT creators,
developers, community managers) to have more control over their launches, mints
and communities. Imagine it almost like a CRM for gating experiences - by
setting certain rules for who can participate (e.g., "only collectors who follow
our Twitter" or "only collectors who hold the 'degen' roll in our discord"), you
can powerfully shape your community and who can become part of your community in
the future.

Allowlists also help to eliminate the possibility of gas wars, and the panic and
community blowback that accompany them.

IS SPEARMINT SAFE TO USE?

Yes, but always stay vigilant and beware of phishing sites!

Spearmint uses Sign-In with Ethereum to verify ownership of your address.
Signing a message is a gas-less action that allows us to confirm that you
control the connected address - it does not grant us permission to send
transactions or withdraw assets from your address.

Always verify messages before you sign them! Our messages begin with
spearmint.xyz wants you to sign in. Spearmint will never ask you to sign a
message outside of the authentication flow.

HOW DOES THE SPEARMINT API WORK?

With first of its kind API automation, Spearmint removes the significant burden
that goes into gating allowlist access. You no longer have to go through the
painful dev work of uploading addresses to your database, generating proofs or
digital signatures, and setting up your own API servers to ensure only
pre-approved addresses are allowed to mint. Your frontend can call the Spearmint
API directly, which will validate whether a user is on the allowlist and return
data that can be verified by your smart contract.

By providing the allowlist infrastructure via Spearmint, you can focus on
building your product. The Spearmint API is the only solution that makes this
