ELANCO Library WILL BE CLOSED ALL DAY Tuesday, May 21, 2024, to prepare for the
re-opening of our Children’s Library, and for a computer upgrade. Preschool
Storytime for May 21 is CANCELLED.

During the computer upgrade, which will begin at 4am on May 21, the following
will be unavailable:

 * the library’s online catalog (including placing holds and paying fines
   online)
 * My Library! mobile app.
 * lynx.lancasterlibraries.org (our eResources)
 * placing interlibrary loan requests
 * online self registration for new library cards
 * Libby/Overdrive (eBooks and eAudiobooks)

Do you know someone who is not online but might want to know about the closing?
Please spread the word! Thank you.

Our Children’s Library is undergoing a remodel, including the creation of a new
early learning room, transforming the board room into a suitable space for teen
programming (which will double as an attractive meeting room for community
groups), upgrading the HVAC system for improved air quality, updated paint,
furnishings, carpet, and more! The Children’s Library CLOSED through late
Spring. Many children’s books ARE AVAILABLE to check out on the library’s main
floor. Some materials are available by request only**, and other items are
temporarily unavailable.  Story times and other programs and special events
CONTINUE  AS SCHEDULED in the library’s upstairs Activity Room. Visit

**NOTE:  If you see an ELANCO Library item marked STORAGE  in the catalog, you
can still request it/place a hold for it.
