Online Renewals: Vehicle Registration  |  Drivers License  |  ID Card


PLANNED OUTAGE

DMV online services, kiosks and emissions station renewals will be unavailable
from Saturday, November 6 at 8pm through Sunday, November 7 at 3pm. We apologize
for any inconvenience.


VETERANS DAY

All DMV offices will be closed Thursday, November 11, in observance of Veterans
Day.


LICENSE SUSPENSION REINSTATEMENTS  

The 2021 Nevada Legislature passed SB 219 to automatically reinstate driving
privileges that were suspended for delinquent fines, fees, assessments and
restitution. See the flyer for more information.

SB 219 applies only to suspensions for delinquent payments. Suspensions ordered
for other reasons will remain in effect. The DMV will notify motorists covered
by SB 219 in the coming months.


NEW NEVADA LICENSE DESIGN

The new Nevada Driver License

The DMV is issuing a new design on all driver's licenses and ID cards. See
Driver's License Designs and the News Release.


MAKE AN APPOINTMENT (METROPOLITAN AREAS)

Most transactions at DMV offices in Carson City, Henderson, Las Vegas and Reno
require an appointment. You may obtain a vehicle movement permit without an
appointment.

Rural offices are walk-in based and serve customers from their local area only.

MAIL/FAX TRANSACTIONS

Please allow four to six weeks for processing of any transaction sent by mail or
fax. Do not cancel your payment or send a second payment. Please do not contact
us if you are still within this period. Thank you for your patience.
