Super cute and REALLY comfortable w/ 2 major drawbacks.
I'm supposed to go to Beijing in April (TBD w/ coronovirus obvi..) and I ordered
these shoes to try them out for walking long periods of time. Ironically I
actually work at an Amazon warehouse so I have the advantage of REALLY trying
out a pair of shoes for comfort. I wore them 9-10 hrs a day for 3 days in a row
walking for miles around a warehouse each day. Only on the 3rd day did I start
to feel a little discomfort/possible blister on my right pinky toe. So that is
AMAZING. Seriously, testing a brand new pair of shoes, that are SO CUTE, for $50
is a true test of amazing-ness. So much so that I just changed my rating from 3
to 4 stars thinking about how much that says.I'm definitely keeping them AND
wearing them for travel where I plan to be walking for long periods of time, I
also don't wear them even on my days off because I'm always running late and
it's just annoying to put them on and take them off for a run to Target or what
have you.However, the downfalls are significant or minor depending on
use/purpose. MOST dominantly, (which I had read in another review) is that they
are VERY tough to get on. I am a tried and true size 8 and these fit great ONCE
on. But these are not "let me put my shoes on real quick'. That said, once they
are on obviously great. Secondly, while they may be waterproof (or so the ones I
ordered are...haven't had a chance to 'test' though definitely water resistant),
there is absolute zero insulation or warmth. I've never owned converse before,
so this may be expected for some, but my feet got so cold after 10 minutes in
the freezer I had to take my break early to warm them up. My feet hurt so bad I

these shoes to try them out for walking long periods of time. Ironically I
actually work at an Amazon warehouse so I have the advantage of REALLY trying
out a pair of shoes for comfort. I wore them 9-10 hrs a day for 3 days in a row
walking for miles around a warehouse each day. Only on the 3rd day did I start
to feel a little discomfort/possible blister on my right pinky toe. So that is
AMAZING. Seriously, testing a brand new pair of shoes, that are SO CUTE, for $50
is a true test of amazing-ness. So much so that I just changed my rating from 3
to 4 stars thinking about how much that says.
I'm definitely keeping them AND wearing them for travel where I plan to be
walking for long periods of time, I also don't wear them even on my days off
because I'm always running late and it's just annoying to put them on and take
them off for a run to Target or what have you.
However, the downfalls are significant or minor depending on use/purpose. MOST
dominantly, (which I had read in another review) is that they are VERY tough to
get on. I am a tried and true size 8 and these fit great ONCE on. But these are
not "let me put my shoes on real quick'. That said, once they are on obviously
great. Secondly, while they may be waterproof (or so the ones I ordered
are...haven't had a chance to 'test' though definitely water resistant), there
is absolute zero insulation or warmth. I've never owned converse before, so this
may be expected for some, but my feet got so cold after 10 minutes in the
freezer I had to take my break early to warm them up. My feet hurt so bad I
thought it was the shoes until they started warm up. I was able to continue my
shoe trial because Amazon provides amazing shoe/boot covers for employees, it
