HC DIRECTS TRIPURA GOVT TO ENSURE REGISTRATION OF FIRS

Tripura High Court directed the secretary of state home department last week to
call for a meeting with all the superintendents of police of the districts,
inspectors general (law and order) and director general of police to formulate
an advisory consequent to the directions of the Supreme Court’s order in regard

RETRO TAX: I-T DEPARTMENT WITHDRAWS SANOFI APPEAL FROM SUPREME COURT

While Sanofi, like many other multinationals, settled this with the taxman under
India's plan to rescind the indirect transfer of assets amendment or

be withdrawn. In a May 6 order, the apex court dismissed all the appeals. "In
