Stephen is a resilient and entrepreneurial leader with expertise in strategy and
innovation delivery. Based in London, he has more than 20 years’ experience at
National Grid PLC. There, he specialized in business development, energy system
analysis, and scenario planning across gas, power, and system operator utility
functions. More recently, he was Director of Innovation at National Grid
Partners, the venture capital and innovation arm of National Grid. He was also
project lead for a land sustainability management concept developed with AiDash.
Stephen is a Chartered Engineer with a BEng and PhD in Chemical Engineering, and
an MBA from Warwick Business School (UK).

ALEXIS GRIFFIN

Utilities Sector Decarbonization Manager,
Shell
Alexis started her career with Shell in 2005 as a Control Systems Engineer at
the Convent refinery in Louisiana. Alexis graduated from Florida A&M University
with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and has an Executive MBA from
The University of Memphis. She has held a variety of roles in Engineering,
Supply Chain Management, Business Development and Operational Excellence in
industries including Chemicals, Energy and Aerospace. In her current role as the
Utilities Sector Decarbonization Manager, she works alongside gas and power
utilities to help set and accomplish mutual decarbonization goals and
objectives. In her free time, Alexis enjoys spending time with her two sons,
Jackson (age 8) and Carter (age 5), singing and playing classical music.
