Got this for the community cats we need since we will be heading out of town for
4 days. I went ahead and set it up to try it out and it’s made my life so much
easier. So far a great product.

I've been using this feeder for three years, so I feel pretty confident
recommending it. I purchased this feeder after realizing my bigger cat was
bullying the smaller one away from their first feeder, which only had one large
dish. With two dishes, there's still a little bit of the 'wanting the food in
the bowl the other one is using' (cats, am I right?) but overall both cats are
able to eat comfortably in peace. I love watching them figure out the meal times
and start hovering around it minutes before it goes off, or making mad dashes
from across the house once they hear the kibble hit the bowl.
PROS
-Three years in and still works perfectly. Have not had one single issue.
-Easy to set up. I've read some reviews where people had difficulties, but I
can't say I experienced any problems.
-Easy to adjust portions/time AFTER initial set up. Meaning, if you realize you
want to set it for an earlier time, add a meal, or adjust a portion, you don't
have to jump through hoops to do so.
-The 'low food' indication is super obvious and can't be missed (as long as you
aren't shoving it in a corner that you never pass by.)
-Dispenses food evenly, I don't have to worry about one bowl getting more than
the other.
-I personally have not had an issue with my cats figuring out how to get in/tip
it over. My cats are pretty food motivated, but it wouldn't surprise me that a
more determined kitty might figure it out. It is pretty sturdy, but if you
jostle it hard enough it does dispense a few kibble. The lid is pretty secure
and requires pushing a button to open so I'd be pretty impressed with a cat that
figured that out!
CONS
-The sound of the food hitting the metal bowl is loud. Startled me awake a few
times.
-The trays for the food bowl can be a pain to attach. The two bowls are actually
separate, and each tray has a notch that slides into the base of the feeder. I
always struggle getting both trays to sit comfortably without knocking one off.
-The portion sizes are confusing. But this is really only an issue when first
setting up. After the first time it dispenses you can easily adjust the portions
based on how much/little food got dispensed.
Overall, I highly recommend an automatic feeder to cat owners that struggle with
fast eaters that regurgitate their food or being pestered to death to feed them.
I am able to give my cats small meals throughout the day at a consistent time,
and they've learned that begging me for a meal won't make it come faster. Also
makes being gone for a day or two easier as we don't have to rely on a sitter.

Quick to set up—fairly easy to schedule feeding times & portions, altho rt side
tends to get less amt (i.e., portions not evenly distributed). Very glad to have
battery-backup that kicked in during power outage due to winter stormy weather.
Our 2 outdoor cats got used to the appliance fairly quickly, allowing us to take
short wkend trip w/peace of mind re our cats’ safe feedings while we were away.
Didn’t think recorded mssg was a big deal until we saw (via security cam) how
our cats eagerly responded to my voice clearly “announcing” their meals 3x per
feeding. Would definitely recommend this product for its sturdy construction &
dependability.

I am writing this review after 3 months of use. Initial use was for 3 weeks on
battery power only until I could relocate nearer to an outlet. No issues at all
powering it either way. You can figure out how to set it for the correct amount
of food by weighing your cat, and then looking up the recommended food amount
for that weight for the food that you are using. Mine gives a range in grams/day
dry weight, and I chose 70 grams a day. Next fill the feeder, and dispense
several portions into the bowl. Weigh those portions and divide by the number of
portions you dispensed. This gives you the grams per portion. I got 8
grams/portion ( this will vary depending on the cat food brand). Divide required
grams/day (70 in my case) by grams per portion (8 in my case) and you have the
number of portions to give each day (70/8=8.75/day). Some brands might use
volume(cups) instead of weight, but the concept is the same.
After a few months, the feeder began to dispense differing amounts with each
feeding. This turned out to be caused by “gumming up” of the inside of the
dispenser by smaller particles and oily residue from the food, The entire feeder
distribution mechanism pulls out from the top of the feeder without tools, and
can be cleaned with soap and water and blown dry with a hair dryer to restore
normal functioning. Also clean the grey chutes (which do not appear removeable)
the same way.
In summary, works great to feed 2 cats and appears thoughtfully designed well
constructed. Needs periodic attention to cleaning.

This has made my life so much easier. It’s great for basic feeding. Sometimes I
have to check the measurements and settings because it gets a little overzealous
and starts adding more portions in the feedings. Not too big a deal and easy to
fix. The only issue I have is the bowls don’t latch into place very well. It
sort of rests in a groove and if the unit is bumped at all, they pop out and
food spills. I have to put something heavy on top to keep it still when the cats
go crazy.

My beloved (rescue) mogs have woken me up twice a night for the last four years.
Bless them, I adore them, but I also would really love to get a good
uninterrupted night's sleep without having to go and stay somewhere other than
my own home! I had considered getting a feeder with a chip, but one of them is
very scared of everything that moves, and the other is a) too stupid to work it
out, and b) her chip seems to be the wrong end of her. She will eat more than
the other one, but as the other is so small, it doesn't really matter.
I'm reasonably technically minded, and after a glance at the instructions, I
managed to set this up. However, the first time it went off, the little meal '1'
just flashed and nothing happened. It wasn't until I remembered reading the
reviews that said that the recording needed to be done that it clicked - I don't
necessarily need to hear my own voice, and the sound of a biscuit waterfall is
enough to entice the cats (and me for that matter, although not the same type of
biccies). It doesn't specifically say that you HAVE to do the recording, but it
did magically seem to work after that. Next trick is to turn the voice off as it
woke me up in the night - kind of defeating the purpose of buying it!
It's on the large side, but this just means that I don't have to store a large
tub of biscuits on the kitchen work surface. It has a viewer on one side so you
can see when it's running low (my cats would also be quick to tell me I'm
sure!). The mogs were only a little phased by the new bowls, but have eaten from
it quite happily. They're somewhat confused by my tinny voice appearing to come
from the machine when I'm clearly next to them upstairs ... but they'll get used
to the automatic rattle of biccies in double-quick time I'm sure.
So - instructions not completely clear in terms of the voice recording, but
otherwise it works a treat (pun intended)!

Die Medien konnten nicht geladen werden.
It's a little confusing to programme but once you've got it, just forget about
it! Stops the boys from waking me in the morning, and handy if you've got a bad
back so no bending down for manual feeding. It's greedy-cat proof so they can't
break in. Worth the money!

It is a good device for cats.
It has 6 time Programmes, very easy to set up: time/ portions (1 to 48). It
flashes up when the food is running low. You can record your own voice to let
you pet when it time to feed.
The looking is very nice and neat. Easy to clean.
Negative: on the inside of the lead there is a rubber ring that is always
getting loosen and I'm afraid that very soon it will be broken and sometimes it
gets stuck when I try to close the lead.
The manufacturer could look into that and make sure to get better part to
substitute the current one.

We've just moved, unfortunately far enough that we can no longer rely on kind
local friends to look after our cats when we go on holiday.
This cat feeder is excellent. It's easy to set up (despite some other reviews,
it really is quite straight forward!). Meal sizes takes some testing to get
right, I just locked myself in a room and changed it for an hour or so until I
got my cats' portion size right for the day, in total.
It's also pretty robust - my larger cat has tried to get into it with no luck,
and also tried to claw at it to pull it over - it remains standing and
unscratched so far!
Well worth the money for a well made product that I can trust to feed my cats
when I go away (I don't use it all the time as I like feeding my cats myself if
I'm there, otherwise they might not be so fond of me!) and the splitter works
really well too.

I was hesitant as I saw some complaints about the feeder being very complex to
set up with illegible instructions, however I found the instruction manual very
simple to read and understand.
The portion sizes were easy to work out by manually dispensing a portion,
weighing it and then working out how many portions go into my cat's meals. This
will always differ for everyone, as it depends on the kibble being dispensed.
Overall really happy with the product. Have done a couple of test runs and seems
to work perfectly!
